About Southland Beer

We are craft beer lovers. We've spent countless hours sitting in bars discussing what makes a great beer bar. Our dream is to bring all of those factors together to create a bar that we - and you - would love to hang out in: rotating taps, knowledgable and friendly staff, a smartly-curated bottle shop, and cool events.

 

We chose the name Southland because we want to celebrate the bounty of great beer in southern California. While our selection features great beer from all over the world, local craft is our core. We have twenty taps, including beer on nitro and a beer engine for cask-conditioned beer. We also have a dedicated bottle room. Bottles are priced to go but are available for on-site consumption with a small corkage fee.

 

We are also cheese lovers here at Southland and the only thing better than great cheese is great cheese paired with beer. We are excited to offer rotating cheese boards and sausages, small plates featuring spiced popcorn, smoked nuts, and olives, and desserts from our friends at Pasta Sisters.

Fun night all around! Made everyone wanna brush up on their Welsh. Jenny And The Bettes took first, Lucky 13 with second, and Booze Cats locking in with third! People enjoyed the very pun-filled third round; it was a very NPR-ish way to go with the questions. Ty and Mike and Karina are part of the great staff there at Southland Beer. Another jam-packed night of quizzing at Southland Beer! Taking third place was Beets, Bears & Battlestar Gallactica with 26 points. For second, it was Jenny And The Bettes with 42 points. And taking first was the six-player strong Trivia Newton-John with 43 points! Jenny And The Bettes also won the drinking round by one of their players doing an uncontested, Veterans Day-inspired impression of a drill sergeant. She literally had NO competition.

A great night! Questions asked and answered! Tim runs a nice little craft beer place there in Koreatown. The drinking round was a competition to see who can do the best impression of E.T. It was tough to decide!
