We had two teams ready to go toe to toe. One team, TWWS, seasoned and ready to destroy, stacked with five players.... and another team, 6-9 Split, with one (count 'em...ONE) member, and not even sure if he'd registered (he had) and couldn't remember how long ago he'd played.
Oh, this is going to be a blood bath!
...except....what's this? 6-9 keeping pace with TWWS, keeping within a point...and even pulling ahead by two points!
Both teams realized they hated James Franco's brother, and they shared an equal dislike of the band U2. But whatever the teams shared, they also shared one more thing: A TIE SCORE!!
Alex Rodriguez and Price is Right rules handed the tie breaker to TWWS!
It was a great night, and the crowning game for yours truly at Splits. Thanks for all the fun! Hope to see you at some of my other King Trivia locations! -James

Tonight was so much fun. A family of four members decided to split and go head to head! The reigning champs, Lannister (ok fine, they were registered and are King Trivia tenured) went against the spin off.... the Frasier to their Cheers, the Jeffersons to Archie's Bunker... or Family... ok yeah, you get the idea.... Hot Tub Ratz!!
Lannister maintained a one point lead through the first few rounds, then stumbled on Round 4, giving the Ratz their opportunity to pounce!... first with a 4 point lead, then slipping down to a 2-point lead... then finally pulling ahead to an 8-point lead, and the WIN! WOOOO!
See you next week!

Like the parting of the Red Sea... like cell mitosis under a microscope... what was one, becomes two.
One half of Save the Rocks was in the house, but was taking the night off. Super Chiefs, with their six players...well, they were ready to play, but they were only one team. All great warriors need an adversary.
What was one, becomes two.
The team split into two teams of three, with the offshoot becoming... (wait for it)... Double or Nothing.
Ok, let's get going!
Double or Nothing lived up to their name. They doubled on round #1 and they got... nothing. Super Chiefs got on the board with six points and the game was on! Round two, however, Super Chiefs showed Double how it's supposed to get using their double successfully and racking up another 16 points.
The game went on through the rounds but Double could never close the widening gap between the two teams.
The final round was extremely exciting, with double making a last ditch effort to pull ahead. They only missed one out of the 10 countries, but missing one question element was one too many and their failed use of a double or nothing meant that Super Chiefs would take home the win.
Thank you for making it a fun and fun-rivaled competition. See you next week!
