Savage play! Daring moves! Winning teams! All this and more on another episode of.... King Trivia at Splits Lounge!
Ok, I'll cut the dramatic telling down a bit, but we definitely had teams getting savage in their game play. SAVAGE, I tells ya!
Ok, I'm doing it again. Just tell the story, already!
Round 1 had two of our three teams going Double right out of the gate, successfully! Horns locked at 14 points each between Rocks and Jen'll!
We had multiple rounds where two teams would get tied scores for the round. A round where one team would go Double...and not be successful at it. And even one round where all three teams had tied scores for the round.
...so all that said, the team that consistently scored well, and once again took the top spot... was Jen'll Tell Ya! A big congrats to them and all our teams...and thanks to Cigar for joining us at Splits for the first time.
Hey, look at that! We had a King Trivia fan join us at Splits for the first time! Welcome, and hope you'll be back!
Tonight we saw a beefing up of Save The Rocks' team, with four players, up from their usual two. BIG guns! And Jen'll Tell Ya returned to see if they would keep their rep going as a dominant team at Splits (that's "a" dominant team, not "THE" dominant team.
TL;DR: They did. But it was fun watching the teams play!
Example 1). Save The Rocks went balls out, and used a Double on the very first round! And ooooooo....so close! The Double didn't turn out so good. But hey, two points for being a registered team, right?
Example 2). David, a team of one, battled in every round, and while he didn't have any teammates to assist with the answers, he finished only eight points behind the four-member Rocks team
Example 3). Jen'll Tell Ya, while a consistently strong team, needed to go back to High School to remember the plays that High Schoolers would put on. The final round only raised their points by three!
...but in the end, Jen'll held their own with a strong performance overall, and took the top spot.
Congrats to all the teams, thanks for coming out, and don't forget to invite a friend or three! See you next week!
