We had an interesting mix of questions, teams, and strategy this evening! Round One had all four teams score either 6 or 7 points, and Round Two had all four teams score either 22 or 23 points. VERY close!
And then everything changed.
Yours Truly was a stickler for Jason's full name (Mr. Voorhees to you and me) hurt two teams, including one - Island -- that cost them the Double.
Round 6 saw three teams get all 10 questions right and use Doubles successfully! With Jen'll enjoying a 7 point lead over Clap, it looked sure that Jen'll was sure to win.
WHOAAA! Round Seven, a very tough round in my estimation...and look what Clap did!! Not only did Clap answer ALL TEN LOSING MLB TEAMS last at the World Series, but ALSO used a Double!! I was impressed!! I also had to award them the 20 points, and that shot them to the 1st Place win!!
Twenty players tonight over four teams... but we have room for more. Come join us next week, and we'll see you then!

What a great night at Splits Lounge for another round of King Trivia! Three teams...and they were all lively, interactive, and ...well ok, one team had horrid taste in music. We'll get to that.
Round one had each team within only one point of each other, with Island taking the top spot. But with six more rounds, anything can happen....and it did!
The teams were having fun, clapping for eachother-- well, mostly. Sips had the nerve to cheer Island's -1 result! Bad form!! Oh but wait-- Sips and Island are friends, so it was all in good fun!
After Island's stumble on Round 4, they still had the top spot, and was 2 points ahead of Sips. But...like Seabiscuit, lagging behind just makes them pour it on in the turn, and that's just what Sips did. In Round 5, they successfully answered all 10 questions AND used a Double to not just take the lead, but put some serious distance between them and Island. At the end of Round 5, Sips had an 11-point lead. Wow!
After that point, the teams performed fairly equally, but that Double -- the only one used in the night -- made all the difference. Sips graciously... umm... humbly... (no) ...
I'll just say... Sips n (MF) Rips won!
Please note: this does not negate the fact that Whip My Hair is still a horrible song, and unworthy of dancing to in 2019. Next time, I cut Sips off from the bartender!

As night falls over Splits Lounge, three teams stood ready (actually, they appeared to be seated comfortably) to do the trivia dance and take the grand prize.
First round had two teams tied for first, and the other team behind by just one point! ooooOOOOOoooo... It's a game!
Second round spread them out by two points each, and as the subsequent rounds progressed, Jen'll Tell Em extended their lead. So the real battle was between the 2nd and 3rd place teams. Save the Rocks kept on trying, but was always behind Island. Save the Rocks threw up their hands on Round 6 (definitely not baseball fans). It was all but over for them.
But wait!! Round 7 was an epic round for the underdogs! Island scored 4 more points, but...wow! Rocks scored TEN points on the final, and overtook Island by a SINGLE POINT, and clinched 2nd place!!
