QUIZ RECAP

Small batch tonight, but that didn't make it any less fun! Our regulars couldn't rest on their laurels - we had a new team in the bar tonight and they came ready to PLAY! "Team C*nty" even won the Cornhole challenge and decided to take the 5 points to their score. But my favorite part of the evening came in the final Round 7. Since the final question only required 9 answers, I asked all the teams to guess my middle name for the 10th answer slot. For some CRAZY reason, 2 teams took their guesses AND attempted to Double their points for the round..... Sounds impossible, right?! WELL, one team actually did it - guessed my middle name and got a whopping 20 points for the Round and WON the entire game! It was a pretty epic moment, and even the opposing teams had to give them a round of applause for that one. There's always a round that separates the top teams from the bottom, and this week that was a combo of Rounds 4 & 5. Some teams lost a point in Round 4 and never recovered, while others gained 6-10 points by correctly guessing our Dancing Queen of Mykonos. Then in Round 5, two teams would successfully Double their points, skyrocketing to the top 2 positions and leaving everyone else in their dust. Space Jam played a solid game throughout and eventually landed the W. Snorts Harbour played well but that incorrect Round 4 would come back to haunt them, leaving them in second place. And congrats to Scooter Attack (long story, but it involved a Byrd) for winning the Cornhole challenge! Great job all around and thanks for another fun week of trivia!

QUIZ RECAP

3 Men and a Puppy! That's what we had at this week's Trivia game.... We had 1 member from 2 of our groups of regulars (Snorts Harbour, Space Trash) and another bar regular you likes to occasionally join whichever team he fancies that week. So this week we decided to have a mano y mano y mano challenge! 1v1v1! 3 men all going head to head to see who would take all!

It was a close game through Round 5, with only a few points differentiating each team. But then in Round 6, Dog Groomers decided to try and Double his points UNsuccessfully, causing him to drop out of the race for the top spot, leaving it to the other 2 to battle it out. In the end, Snorts would prove to be THE champion, with Space behind only 3 points. It should be noted that Dog Groomers tried to Double his points in both Round 5 and 6 - but had he NOT tried to do so, he would have gotten 9/10 of each round correctly and would have mopped the floor with the other 2 teams!! But that is the price you pay when you risk it all! Speaking of Dogs, special shout out to Prince Leia who joined us for some trivia... She didn't know any of the answers but she was the cutest one at the bar, for sure! 😉
