The Wednesday trivia night soiree at The Backdoor Bakery and Cafe was a delightfully competitive romp this week, with our top two teams separated by just one point halfway through the evening.
And when the dust settled and the quizzing was through, We're Playing Different won the night by just two points over the always tough Shana Maidelas.
Our youngest quizzer, El Duderino (photo 7 above) gave the quizmaster his best "what the hell are you doing?" look when we took his picture, and Specialty Cheeses won the drinking round by demonstrating an excellent knowledge of 90's movies. hey didn't miss a thing!

An impressive performance by Team Pudding this week at The Backyard Bakery and Cafe in Sunland/Tujunga. The Pudding duo (that's them there in photo #3, looking all pleased with themselves - and they should be!) They doubled successfully right out of the gate, took the lead in Round Two and never looked back!!
They completed their rout of the competition with another successful double in the final round, demonstrating an impressive knowledge about animated film franchises.
At the other end of the winner's circle, Bad Dragon edged out Sugar Bears by a single point to take third place. That's right! One single point. As you might expect, the Sugar Bears were sweet about it.
And right there in between, finishing in second, the Shana Maidelas once again showered your humble quizmaster with scorn and disrespect - which I correctly interpret as love and affection.

This week's trivia quiz at The Backdoor Bakery and Cafe in beautiful Sunland/Tujunga featured a pretty good battle for 2nd place between Team Pudding (the eventual winner) and Oahu Pools (who finished third.)
This result was especially impressive when you consider that Carrie (Oahu Pools) was a team of one, and held her own in this environment where two heads are often better than one. But one head was all she needed to put the pressure on the Pudding crew (photo #7 above). Good job, Carrie.
As for the Shana Maidela crew (photos 4, 5 & 6) well, Robin threw wet paper towels at me again, and that one guy kept sticking his tongue out, as you can plainly see. There's noting like photographic evidence, right? I was gonna photoshop his tongue green, but restrained myself. Not sure why.
