Long ago in days of yore, people would gather at the local tavern and exchange pleasantries and information with their friends. Wine and ale would be flowing and songs would be sung.

But unlike Irish Hare Pub, they didn't have King Trivia. Were there not enough facts around at that time to make the games long enough? Not for me to judge.

What I can say is, trivia on Wednesday nights at 7pm at The Irish Hare Pub is a luxury we should never take for granted.

Oh, this specific night? It was fun, our reigning champions defended their crown once again, proving themselves a force to be reckoned with.

But all teams said they will return next week to try again!

Irish Hare Pub was packed last night, with a good portion of the available space taken by trivia goers looking for some fun!

The game was very competitive and everyone had a great time.

People shall sing songs to their grandchildren about how great the night was many years from now and for many years to come.

I arrived at 6:30 pm to get prepared for the night's trivia.

Oh no! The bar was nearly empty. I thought to myself: "Self, it's right after New Year's, maybe folks don't want to be out drinking and having to guess stuff."

To my surprise, within minutes more teams showed up to play. Even though it was the smallest group I've quizzed yet, it turned out to be probably the best and funnest group so far!
