The VIBE:

I walked in and noticed 3 things. The chatter was super low key. The lighting was super dark. But the energy of competition lurking 'neath the shadows....was.....SUPER!!

There were only 4 teams for this game - but 3 out of the 4 were regulars - so that's a good sign of things to come. So let's get to it....

The GAME:

With the exception of one team (who was just having an off night - hey, it happens!) , this was back-and-forth madness all the way to the end.

Don't believe me? Psssh.

At the end of Round 3, Gangrene Gang took the lead...

At the end of Round 4, Dem Boyz took the lead...

At the end of Round 5, Boozecats took the lead....

At the end of Round 6, Gangrene Gang and Boozecats were tied...

See? Told ya. Madness!

The RESULTS:

I had them all fooled when I announced "Round 7 is GTA!" and paused.....waiting for the cheers. Because everyone looooves Grand Theft Auto. However, our crazy quiz writers....it was GTA: Gotta Trade Autos...hahah....I laughed at least.

J & D-Silkie (not a rap group - I asked) walked away with 10 points...but they didn't care that much because they were dancing the night away - literally!

Newcomers, Dem Boyz, fought hard for 3rd place....32 points

Gangrene Gang (39 points) couldn't quite catch our Champions for the evening... the dynamic duo themselves...Boozecats!!

Don't forget to tip your bartenders.

6 teams but only 3 can win...let's do this!

The VIBE:

There was a large group in the back that decided to split themselves up into a 7th grade dance: Guys vs Girls...or more accurately....

The 3 Stooges

Hawt & Saucey

Uh Doctor Somethings (under a different name) who we saw a few weeks ago came back to seek revenge on the 3rd place victory....whilst the Gang Green Gang were defending their title from last week but decided to use a different name as well. Does nobody want FREE points?! Register here ---> www.KingTrivia.com (yes, I'm making you click for the hell of it) Where were we....

The Billable Whores was really just one whore. (I counted).

And a 5th round entry....and why not....The Brands were a lovely group of ladies.

That's 6 teams. Let's see what happened....

The GAME:

Round 1 was tough. Nobody doubled up, except for The Billable Whore(s)....but that evened out quickly when she "forgot" to hand in Round 2. (Please don't drink & trivia without adult supervision, kids)

BUT! Round 2 was a game changer for Uh Doctor Somethings who nailed the picture round, doubled-up, and put them ahead of everyone pretty quickly!

The next few rounds were pretty evenly matched until Gang Green Gang busted out with a double-up to give them a fighting chance!

The RESULTS:

The Brands played a few rounds for fun...still a respectable 13 points.

The Billable Whores finished with 17 points and even waived goodbye to be. What class.

The Three Stooges took too many smoke breaks and left with 18 points.

Hawt & Saucey, the loud rowdy girls in the back, racked up 33 points finishing 3rd...

Gang Green Gang and Uh Doctor Somethings fought til their death in the final round with UDS barely edging them out to be the Grand Champions of the week with 58!! Wanna know what 2nd place victors GGG got? 57! I know. I was sweatin' too!

The VIBE:

As this is only my 3rd gig hosting, I'm starting to notice that - much like a snowflake - every single week is completely different. By some crazy coincidence, every table that was present wanted to play. Ok, there were a few stragglers at the bar who started - but perhaps were too drunk to even spell T-R-V-I-Ah anyways, let's get to it!!

The teams all had a rowdy edge to them. I like that. I find boring people...well, boring. These were not boring people. They were shouting out the answers when I was giving them (Not beforehand! Nooooo, never. That's against Rule #1! Are you crazy?!) and keeping the spirit of competition Blake Lively.

The GAME:

Everything was pretty cool and calm until We Miss You, CIP! caught everyone off guard and doubled-up in Round 3! No other team even attempted to double-up....oh wait, that's a lie. One team tried and learned the hard way. I won't reveal who that was....but let's just say that it was A team who was playing A game at A bar. It's okay. They're cute, so hopefully they won't hAte me too much.

The Drinking Round was a hit! In honor of March Madness, I had them shoot paper balls into tumblers. We Miss You, CIP! was on point with that acrobatic task....although there was some fierce paper ball tossing by some of the others. Yay for sports.

The RESULTS:

After realizing that they couldn't close down the others, Farside closed down their tab and left with a respectable 15 points.

The Aquamarine Bayous fought a good fight racking up 22 points.

Rhythm Spirit & The A Team had 27 points each .....so I broke them up with a (yay for more sports) tie-breaker round......with Rhythm Spirit taking the 2nd place $15 and The A Team their $10 gift card.

But even after the extra beers (which the others secretly hoped would slow them down) We Miss You, CIP! were crowned with $25 and the grand champions with a total of 41 points!!

Oh. If there was one silly, silly complaint everyone had it was "Can you please change Round 7? None of us watch sports."

To which I replied, "I don't work here."
