QUIZ RECAP

We had 8 teams for "The Oaks"-lympics this week, and Quizmaster Heather was back for some action as well.

Big Dog Rhinos seemed to have the clear lead of the night but Masks Up for Harambe was right on their tail. They were able to stay in first until the first successful double or nothing of the night in round 6 proved fruitful for both the Rhinos and Vaxxed, Waxxed, and Back to Masks, ultimately allowing them to take the gold and silver spots. Harambe didnt leave empty handed, though, and still was invited to the podium to accept the bronze.

Dilly Dilly, Titty Titty Gangbang, Don't Worry About It, Titanic Swim Team, and Frozen Roses gave it their all and played great games.

For the drinking round, the teams had to put their TV theme song knowledge to the test, but it was Harambe that was able to beat out everyone else to win some free Sour Apple shots.

The stars of the night were the pups that came to hang with us and become the unofficial mascots of the evening. Being able to sleep through all the screaming and music makes them the real mvps.

QUIZ RECAP

At The Crack of Dong dominated at The Oaks Tavern tonight, taking an early lead and staying there nearly the entire game, while Never Too Late stayed true to their name, almost missing the deadline to submit for the Find the Connection round.

Kate Beckin-sailors won the musical drinking round by being the first team to identify a song, artist, and year the song was released. 

San Fernando 69ers were in second place for most of the night but they overtook Crack of Dong in the 6th round with a 1 point lead. As the final scores were tallied Vaxxed Waxxed and Yael Is Back landed in 3rd place behind San Fernando 69ers (who concluded in second place with a fitting 69 points) allowing Crack of Dong back on top for the night.

Ten teams took part at The Oaks this week, along with your substitute Quizmaster Heather.

Chill Pollens and Three Cool Boys had a neck and neck night trading each other for the number one spot, until a successful double or nothing from Pollens in Round 5 helped set their trajectory to first place stardom.

Lucky number Round 5 also brought in a sneak attack from Dilly Dilly, who were consistently in 6th place all game. A successful double or nothing shot them straight to second place where they stayed comfortably until the end, knocking Three Cool Boys to the third place spot.

Dingleberry Farms, Cruisin For A Boozin, Ceviche, Vaxxed Waxed and Crackin Backs, California Dreaming and newcomers Titty Titty Gangbang managed the night with impressive consistency. While Late To The Party was, well, late to the party, they still managed to knock out some points during their play time.

For the drinking round, one participant from each team was asked to place an Oreo on their head and, using only their facial muscles, move the cookie down into their mouth. While everyone gave an amazing effort, Three Cool Boys managed to complete the task in 15 seconds (twice as fast as second place), winning a spin on the drinking wheel for some free Sour Apple shots. Even better, the leftover Oreos provided a great snack for the other players and The Oaks staff.
