Ultmate rivalries of three have lasted for the entirety of our existance as a species: Iron-man vs. Thor vs. Captain America, cursive vs. print vs. Spanish, Earth vs. every other planet in our solar system. Case in point: this Monday at the Whiskey Lounge was no different, with three teams facing off with Quizmaster Dan to prove who could reign supreme in the bar trivia department.
A quick lead could not stop our reigning champions, Team Pup N Suds (the same could not be said for Dan's fantasy football team; darn you, James Conner)! They came out, guns blazing, to take an early lead and could quite simply not be stopped. Second place, though, was a different story, with our two remaining teams, Canadian Bacon and Glutton for Funishment, duking it out with a tie going into the last round! Luckily for Glutton, their geography knowledge was top tier, and they secured second place with a very impressive 8 point round 7. Congratulations to our first and second place teams, they'll be going home with 30 and 20 dollars (respectively) to the best bar in town, the Whiskey Lounge.
If you like trivia, come on out to the Whiskey Lounge every Monday at 6:00(ish). Quizmaster Dan is spinning rad questions back to back to back for all the trivia wannabes in the greater Los Angeles area to test their knowledge. Will our reigning champs be back to defend their title? Will Glutton for Funishment take a walk on the wild side and get gluttonous for our next game? 3 teams came to play tonight at the Whiskey Lounge (5 teams if you count the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions)! The drinks were flowing, the patrons were pumped, and quizmaster Dan was spinnin' fresh questions all night long! With 3 teams, the stakes were extremely high, with Dan figuratively sweating out a few rounds (unclear if this was residual from his typical Sunday hangover). The Gummy Shots, Glutton for FUNishment, and Wein all came to play. The Gummy Shots proved their prowess, and over the course of the evening, double downed more times than the bar could count! They really wanted that $30 gift card, and more importantly, the title of first place. What a night, what a night. It truly never ends at The Whiskey Lounge. There was laughter! There was heartbreak! WHY OH WHY WAS THERE NOT A BLUE HORSESHOE IN THE ORIGINAL LUCKY CHARMS CEREAL. You're always in for a wild roller coaster of emotion when you play Monday Night Trivia with Quizmaster Dan, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the wonderful bar patrons and the best barstaff in town.
Two teams came ready to play for our Monday night showdown! A first at Whiskey Lounge: Quizmaster Dan's parents showed up to the bar to show everyone how it's done! Our reigning champion "Six Days Sober" came to sqaush those hopes and cement their status as true champions of Monday Night Trivia. A tough evening kept us within 2 points for the entirety of the last 3 rounds! In the end, it was Six Days Sober (Dan Dan the Trivia Man) knowledge of The View's original hostesses and the marshmallows from the original Lucky Charms cereal that made them Champions Supreme.
