Without a doubt, this past Wednesday evening was the most action-packed night of trivia this side of Boston has seen in a long time. From the very start of Round 1 to the close of Round 7, the teams were neck-and-neck the entire way through. From breaking out their traveler's knowledge by identifying famous monuments around the world to identifying Mr. Worldwide, himself, in our "Guess Who" round, our teams showed that the extent of their knowledge had no boundaries. The most tumultuous round came with our "Find the Connection" round, which lead to four out of the five teams risking a Double-Or-Nothing play, which actually worked out for each one of them! Going into the final round, the teams were split into two groups, the teams tied for first place -- Teams "William Brian Riley" and "Rob is Late" -- and the teams just two points behind tied for second place -- Teams "Lavaboys" and "I was never baptized." The final round came down to the teams flexing their knowledge on national GDPs, which led to team "William Brian Riley" being the nights winners with Team "Rob is late" only one point behind in 2nd.

This past Wednesday was quite the night of Trivia, as each team tried to dip into their St. Patrick's Day luck a day early. From wracking their brain trying to figure out who the hell all these "Lisa's" were in Round 2, to matching famous Mother/Daughter pairs in a future round, these teams were pulling no punches with their answers. Of course, familiar faces are always a treat to see, and the Lava Boys, Tiny Dancers, and Six Cool Cucumbers were back to take another shot at the crown. Their efforts were nothing to scoff at, but the SLP's were too much to handle. They lead pretty strongly after the half way point, but still there was a fight for second. The fight continued into the final round as there was a 3-Way tie for second between the Lava Boys, Tiny Dancers, and Six Cool Cucumbers. In the end, it came down to which ever team had most recently ready the New Testament and perhaps even more importantly -- which team had most recently read through the Hunger Games anthology. As it seems, the Six Cool Cucumbers loved both Jesus and Suzanne Collins the most as they confirmed the final round win for second place, as the SLP's continued their great game -- coming out with the 1st place win!

'Twas an action packed night of Trivia this last Wednesday evening at Two Saints Tavern. Initially, I sat frightfully looking upon a rather empty bar at around 6:45 that night -- thinking I would be asking questions to the wall, but at around 6:50 it seemed as though the flood gates broke, and the folk started pouring in. The time was then 7:00, the room was then filled, and trivia then commenced with new faces and familiar ones, too! The reigning champs -- Team Delvey Leviev -- were back but under an equally as unpronounceable moniker -- Team Koonu. Although it was a new name, it was surely the same game for Team Koonu, as they charged through the initial rounds in a close race for first with Team "Happy Birthday Dan" and Team "kiss me on the lips." All seemed well and fine until the matching round where Team "kiss me on the lips" displayed an almost concerning level of expertise on 90's celebrity relationships. In fact, their expertise was so great that it allowed them to risk it all on a double or nothing, which placed them impressively in 1st place heading into the finals rounds. However, the teams didn't stop their fight as we entered the last round. In fact, the fight grew stronger. Team Koonu put their nautical knowledge on the line with a risky final round double or nothing, which fortunately paid off for them and placed them comfortabley in 1st as we capped off the night.
