Another Wednesday passes, which too means that another week of King Trivia has passed, aswell. This was the week of the Northeastern Law Students. As they assembled under the name "acabaddies," they let folks know that their knowledge expanded past random Scalia dissents from the 90's. In fact, their knowledge made its way from famous domes to extensive knowledge on hardwoods, which was only bested by their expertise on regional pizza differences from across the country. As strong as their performance was, they were followed very closely by the rest of the teams, but they remained on top through and through.

Two Saints Tavern was the place to be this last Wednesday evening; familiar faces, new faces, two Quizmasters, and of course -- King Trivia. This week was a battle of wits... and halfwits. Coming out of the first round, we saw a five way tie for second with only one team leading the pack in 1st place -- The LavaBoys. Some would go as far to call this the week of The LavaBoys. Round in and round out, it seemed like the LavaBoys couldn't be beat. From guessing famous time machines to naming the most circulated newsopapers in the US, the Lavaboys were on top of it. My guest host for the week -- Fiona, an up and coming Quizmaster -- got to see the prowess of the Lavaboys on full display. In addition, we saw some other familiar faces, such as the king's of 3rd place, The Tiny Dancers, who reclaimed their coveted 3rd place spot this week. All in all, it was a bad day not to be at Two Saints, but a damn good day to be a LavaBoy!

Another Wednesday passes at Two Saints Tavern, which means another week of King Trivia has passed, as well. This week was full of familiar faces -- The "Lava boys" were back and as great as ever, "The slps" made their return to defend their previous victory, as well as a previous week's winners "Happy Birthday Dan" made their return for a different birthday this week with Team "Happy Birthday Vinny." This was the week of the "Double or Nothing," and like usual you either die the Trivia champ or you live long enough to lose all your points on a double or nothing. As we moved through the rounds, we saw "The slps" and "Happy Birthday Vinny" capitalize on double or nothing's, but we also saw the latter of those two teams forgo an entire rounds worth of points by risking the double or nothing. However, the sheer army's worth of people playing for their friend -- or maybe cousin -- Vinny was too much to overcome. Eventually, the manpower of "Happy Birthday Vinny" became too much to handle as they powered through the final rounds cementing their 1st place win for their friend's birthday!
