It was another great game at the WeHo Sausage Company! I think I have officially been at this venue for one month now!
We had a lot of enthusiastic teams last night and even a few dogs, those are my favorite trivia players as long as they don't bark out the answers.
I met a new team, the Jelly Kings, who shared with me after the game they had just moved here from Toronto. They also very kindly bought me a drink which I appreciated, wine always makes my jokes funnier. They were so sweet and came in third place, congratulations!
Our second place team Please Call It A Comeback also won the drinking round - I went with an interesting topic last night, we played 'Guess How Old Quizmaster DeeDee Is" There was a chance I might leave in tears haha but it was actually quite fun and they hit the number on the head. After a quick verification of my ID, they were named the drinking round champions and awarded a bucket of IPA's.
Our first place team, Streets of Rage, maintained a strong lead that began mid-game and lasted until the end. They definitely doubled down on a few rounds and their risk paid off. I finished my night with a delicious veggie burger that Peter and Mary hooked me up with, the staff at my venue is so wonderful. See you next week!
