QUIZ RECAP

It was my second week at WeHo Sausage Company and I was so excited to be back. The teams were super enthusiastic to be there and we got right into the game. Once I started the game, I learned that there was a ban on sliced on bread on yesterday's date in 1943. I am fascinated with all things 1940's/1950's so I found this super interesting. I love being a Quizmaster! 

The game was intense with teams tied for most of the rounds. Team Cheesy Tots came in 3rd with 33 points, they won a fun set of glassware. In my first tie-breaker event everm ,we had two teams in first: Chick-Filatio (best name ever) and Fruit Snacks. I didn't even have to do a tie breaker because the teams decided what prizes they wanted and that was that! Chick-Filatio wanted the red blend that was awarded to 2nd place. Fruit Snacks took home the $25 gift card which they promptly used to buy a bottle of bubbly for the table. They poured everyone a glass for a victory toast which I loved! They also won the drinking round which was an art challenge to draw their quizmaster. I finished the night by munching on a delicious market salad with fresh tomatoes and balsamic, it was so good.

It was a great night as always, I can't wait to be back next week! 

QUIZ RECAP

All the teams playing had amazing energy. I was also very excited that one of the teams brought Mate the 4 month old German Shepherd puppy - he was SUCH a sweetie pie and wanted allllllll the belly rubs. Mate was the goodest boy! 

We got right into the game and the competition was fierce. I was looking forward to the drinking round because Round 4 is always a doozy. I did an art competiton and asked the teams to draw a portrait of Quizmaster DeeDee  - the prize was a bucket of beers and the winners of the drinking round actually shared their beers with another team which I thought was so touching and kind. Witnessing that gesture and meeting Mate were the highlights of the evening. 

Every one of the teams still enthusiastically duked it out for first place. I was shocked when I announced our winning team "Turkey Dinner" - who maintained a solid lead all night - and a single player came up to collect the prize! Needless to say, I was pretty impressed with Turkey Dinner's trivia knowledge. We chatted a bit after the game and he shared that it was his first time playing live trivia in almost two years! I was honored to be his first 😉 Overall it was a great night and I look forward to returning next week.
