QUIZ RECAP
We had 21 teams and 112 players join us for a rousing night of trivia! Round 1 gave a nod to the late Robbie Coltrane, and left us with a 3-way tie for 1st between Super Weenie Hut Jr, Sneak Attack, and 2 Tired. Round 2 stole our hearts, and of COURSE Sneak Attack did well in a round about thieves! Sneak Attack and Super Weenie Hut Jr stayed tied in 1st, with 2 Tired slipping down to 3rd. Round 3 was about Potter and Porcelain, and energized 2 Tired back up to 1st, knocking Super Weenie Hut Jr and Sneak Attack, still locked in a tie, down to 2nd. In Round 4, no one got the name correct at the 10 point level, but should out to the three teams that got it at 8: Duck dynasty, Swimmy Slugs, and Sneak Attack. Sneak Attack pulled ahead and ran away with 1st, while Super Weenie Hut Jr tied with 2 Tired in 2nd. Round 5 was a hoot, and four teams found the connection, so shout out to Dikes like the dutch kind, Swimmy Slugs, Dutchies, and 2 Tired. Sneak Attack kept 1st to themselves, 2 Tired held onto 2nd, and Swimmy Slugs swam up to 3rd, bringing new faces to the podium for the first time tonight. We did Round 6 with a song and a smile. Swimmy Slugs sang the hardest as they took over 1st place, while Dutchies took 2nd and Duck dynasty claimed 3rd. What happened to the rest of our leaderboard from before? Overconfidence in their Disney knowledge - they both got taken down by a Double-or-Nothing that they missed just one. Doh! And then in Round 7, it all came down to college, with many teams still in reach of the podium. Several tried a Double-or-Nothing to get there, but only one team succeeded with that strategy, earning Swimmy Slugs the 1st place prize - a Woodstocks stein filled with gift certificates, stickers, and other fun goodies, and one box of nerds. Dutchies took 2nd place, but because they were only in town for one night, they kept the pint glass and gave their gift certificates to the other team with Dutch in the name, Dikes like the dutch kind. We had a tie for 3rd between Sneak Attack and Duck dynasty, so we had a tie breaker. Several teams answered, including one that signed in just for that(!), but only one of our tie breaker teams answered (also with the closest guess), so the prize went to Sneak Attack. Our final prize of the night, Best Team Name, went to Queen Equizabeth II. Reminder, NEXT WEEK THERE WILL BE A COSTUME CONTEST WITH PRIZES!! We’ll see you all then!

QUIZ RECAP
We had 26 teams and 122 players join us for another fun night of trivia! The decorations were spooky, the food was delicious, and the crowd was full of slugly spirit! After Round 1, sQUIZward tentacles took hold of 1st place with a Double-or-Nothing, while Fort Jonsey and DIG IT! tied in 2nd wishing they'd used that D-or-N. Round 2 was a comedy special, and sQUIZward tentacles stayed in the spotlight. Waiting in the wings were Sneak Attack and Cal-Polis tied in 2nd. In Round 3, we rocked out in all the ways. Cal-Polis ascended to join sQUIZward tentacles at the top, with Sneak Attack plotting just behind them in 3rd. In Round 4, four teams got the name correct at the 10 point level, so shout out to: The Banana Jammas, Super Weenie Hut Jr, No Shit Sherlock, and Cal-Polis. Cal-Polis snagged 1st place, sQUIZward tentacles moved to 2nd, and the Banana Jammas tied Sneak Attack in 3rd. But then our 1st place team had to dip because it's a school night, leaving it anybody's game for the 2nd half! In Round 5, four teams found the connection, so shout out to sQUIZward tentacles, Super Weenie Hut Jr, Sneak Attack, and SUM2. The rest of the room groaned as I read the key phrases and they realized what they'd overlooked - this week's was pretty clever. Sneak Attack lived up to their namesake and snuck right up to 1st, leaving sQUIZward tentacles surprised in 2nd and Super Weenie Hut Jr chillin' in 3rd. Round 6 was all about panthers and foxes and bears, oh my! Sneak Attack held onto 1st, sQUIZward tentacles kept 2nd, and No Shit Sherlock elementaried their way into 3rd. And then in Round 7, it all came down to Shakespeare's lighter side, or as one team put it, "My failed English grade." 😂 In a surprising twist, No Shit Sherlock out sneak-attacked Sneak Attack and stole 1st! Sneak Attack dropped to 2nd, knocking sQUIZward tentacles to 3rd, and Travis' Rigid Ball won Best Team Name. It's a circus ball, people - get your mind out of the gutter! We had a great night with great people, and I can't wait to see what happens next week!

QUIZ RECAP
We had 27 teams and 145 enthusiastic players come in from the fog to join us for a great night of trivia! After Round 1, Slug Slayers slayed the first round to take 1st, with a 9-way tie for 2nd. In Round 2, The Banana Chugs had it in the cards to take 1st place, while Dobbys Used Sock ante’d up to 2nd, and Cider Slugs laid it all out to get 3rd. I noted that our top 3 and bottom 2 teams had all used Double-or-Nothings, as a great example of the power of that option. In Round 3, we got a little bitey, and our podium all successfully guarded their positions. In Round 4, 8” Cinnabros was the first to recognize our galaxy defenders and got the highest round score at 8. Dobbys Used Sock claimed 1st, The AB’s got 2nd (and then left on a high note), and Cider Slupers stayed in 3rd. In Round 5, three Maverick teams found the connection, so shout out to Legally Slugs, Is TiVo dead?, and 8” Cinnabros. Cider Slurpers tied Dobbys Used Sock in 1st, and finding the connection brought 8” Cinnabros into 3rd. In Round 6, we sang the colors. Cider Slurpers kept 1st, 8” Cinnabros moved up to 2nd, and Cartnite tied Dobbys Used Sock for 3rd. And then in Round 7, we got the votes out! In the end, Cider Slurpers got 1st place, 8” Cinnabros was in 2nd, and Dobbys Used Sock had 3rd. The Salubrious Scintillating Serendipitous Slugs won Best Team Name. Prizes tonight included tickets to the Woodstocks Student Open House Night on Wednesday, October 12th (additional tickets available on eventbrite), as well as gift certificates and pint glasses. We had a ton of fun, and I can’t wait to see you all next week!
