Thursday nights trivia was bananas! Congratulations to all the teams who played tonight. We had 18 teams duel it out for gold, silver, and bronze (aka pint glasses and Woodstocks coupons). Congratulations to the first place winner, Slugby. Even though bread did not suffice as in answer you still made it through. Also, congratulations to our second place winner Tater Tots and our third-place winner Fully Torqued. Tonight's winner of best team name was Molotov Cocktease. After around four, we had a sweet escape as we listen to no doubts song spiders. Then we got rick rolled as somebody queued up never gonna give you up. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!! 💚 Most of our regular teams didn't make it in tonight, but we had lots of new faces happy to play and enjoy $9 pitchers! In Round 1, our Irish author question had answers ranging from St Patrick to Ed Sheeran, so it was clear it was gonna be a fun night! In Round 2, Beto O'Rourke was renamed "Sexy Mark Zuckerberg" and The Unlucky Ones had an ironic name as they took 1st place, followed by St Paddy's Daddies and The Woodcucks. Round 3 tested our medals as we had to think back to the Olympics. In Round 4, Survey says... 3 teams knew it at the 10 point level. Congrats to teams Arac, 50 Shades of Green, and No Soliticing 69. 50 Shades of Green took over 3rd place. Then we paused for a Most Festive contest of folks wearing green, judged by Woodstocks staff. It was a VERY close contest, with team Dropkick Bussys having the entire team dressed up and team The Lucky One's also having a birthday, but 50 Shades of Green's enthusiasm pushed them over the top and they took home the pot of gold (aka a pint glass and some gift certificates). In Round 5, seven teams found the St Patty's Day connection. 50 Shades of Green moved up to 2nd place, now just a few points behind the Unlucky Ones, and No Soliticing 69 took 3rd. We sang Happy Birthday to Riley of team Ginger Tits, who put "Happy Birthday Riley" as their answer for every question that round. In Round 6, thankfully we all knew what month St Patrick's Day was, but a few players owe their mom an apology for not knowing Mother's Day! And 50 Shades of Green took 1st place. And then in Round 7, it all came down to Whiskey. The highest score was 9, which kept 50 Shades of Green in 1st with 73 points (and calling out "we overshot by 4"), The Unlucky Ones in 2nd with 65 points, and No Soliticing 69 had 3rd with 62 - also disappointed they hadn't hit their goal of 69 points. There were a lot of great, festive names for Best Team Name, but far and away the one that got the most laughter and applause was Dropkick Bussys. Thanks for spending your holiday with us! Next week, we will have a substitute host, so I will see everyone in 2 weeks!

QUIZ RECAP
We had 143 players on 28 teams join us for a great night of trivia, and we were treated to extra special prizes thanks to a sponsorship by North Coast Brewery! Round 1 led to some discussions on cardigans vs sweaters, and two teams took an early lead: Bricked Up On A Thursday and Risky Quizness. In Round 2, we visited the Reading Rainbow, and Bricked Up claimed 1st while Da Breakfast Club pulled ahead of the rest of the pack to take 3rd. In Round 3, we discussed some wonderful female achievements... and Dr Pimple Popper. The team in the lead at the end of Round 3 (Bricked Up) got a special prize from our sponsors! In Round 4, we got some "c7osure" on Lil Nas X, and gave a shout-out to the 3 teams that recognized him at the 10 point level: Trash Kweens, Tater Tots, and Multiple Scoregasms. It was enough to bring Trash Kweens up to tie with Da Breakfast Club in 3rd. In Round 5, 4 teams found the connection, and the rest were green with envy. Shout out to those 4 teams: Fully Torqued, Risky Quizness, The No Nothings, and The Wood Stalkers. Bricked Up continued to hold 1st, Risky Quizness still had 2nd, and Trash Kweens and Da Breakfast Club stayed tied for 3rd, with only a few points between each place, and 4th, 5th, and 6th all very close behind. It's still anybody's game! Then we helped Multiple Scoregasms embarrass their pal Willy with a rousing Happy Birthday... and for those of us still too coordinated on the singing, good thing North Coast pitchers were on sale for $9! In Round 6, we swooned over Idris Elba's roles. Da Breakfast Club moved to 2nd place and Tater Tots quietly nabbed 3rd... an amazing comeback after Double-or-Nothing tragedies in Round 1 AND 2! And then in Round 7, we ended things on a sweet note, and wished for some Cinnabread a la mode. Our podium held their positions through the last round, with Little Caesar's just one point behind - the pizza war almost hit the podium!! We voted on Best Team Name between 3 fine choices: Cock Dirty To Me, Fruity Bitches, and Mumford and Dads, with the latter taking home the prize. It was a lively night from start to finish, and the best Woodstocks trivia crowd to be found! Come at me, other Woodstocks.
