Great job everybody who came out to play trivia with us tonight! We had 31 fierce teams, duel it. Tonight's theme round was 2000s music. Lots of our teams knew what they were listening to. It was a fun night lots of right answers... lots of funny, but incorrect answers. We really enjoyed everybody who spent their Thursday with us. Especially those who placed ha ha. FLAT EARTHERS for coming in first, the Official UCSC women's football team for coming in second, and third and winning tonight's tie breaker snidely whiplash. Sorry FishBowli'. Congratulations to our best team name team(s). When we first Corndog Millionaire (No relation to 2008 Oscar Winning Film, Slumdog Millionaire) there was unfortunately no response. They were probably enjoying a corn dog. Luckily, Britain’s Got *some* Talent was no stranger to being run her up and ready to take that price. Again, thank you all for spending your Thursday with us. QUIZ RECAP
We had 26 teams, 124 players, and 2 adorable pups join us for an exciting night of trivia! We had a special theme round about Pokemon - gotta answer ‘em all! Congrats to the team in the lead at the end of the round, Super Weenie Hut Jr, who won a special Pokemon banner! Other rounds went to Toon Town, put on our Zoot Suits, and visited the Lone Star State. Super Weenie Hut Jr hit 1st place in the 2nd round and held it all the way until the end… when our resident archeologists, Dig It, tied them in the final round! It all came down to a nail biting tie breaker, and Dig It came away with the top prize! Super Weenie Hut Jr still got a 2nd place prize, and Slugalicious won 3rd. Our winning team used their Poke-knowledge to choose between the many themed team names to choose our Best Team Name: Gotta Catch These Ballz! Prizes included gift certificates, stickers, and Pokemon themed prizes. It was a ton of fun, and I can’t wait to see you all next week for ‘00s Music theme!

QUIZ RECAP
We had 29 teams with 114 players plus a couple of cutie-pie kids join us for an awesome night of trivia! We had two rounds of The Office themed trivia, and at the end of those rounds, Molly Can’t Buy a Beer won the official Woodstocks “The Office” Trivia Winner prize: a stapler in jello, made with resin! Jim would be so proud! We also got down with Drake and our Wakandan Queen, planned out a shopping trip, and M&N’ed our way through Geography. We helped our friends on team Happy Birthday Juan celebrate Juan the best way possible: a room full of drunken strangers, singing some version of Happy Birthday almost all together. If you want to celebrate (/embarrass) *your* loved ones, bring them down for their special day and let your host know, and we’ll do the rest. 😉 Our scoreboard shifted around a lot tonight, with lots of teams holding the spotlight for a round or two, including 3 teams that figured out the Mystery Person at the 10 point level and 8 teams that found the connection - well done! At the end of the night, there were some excellent prizes waiting for our top teams: pint glasses, gift certificates, The Office Pop! Figures, plus stickers, surf wax, and koozies from Alvarado Street Brewery! 1st place went to Bears, Beats, Battlestar Galactica; 2nd place went to Scotts Tots, and after a tiebreaker, 3rd place went to Super Weenie Hut Jr, barely beating out Molly Can’t Buy a Beer. We had some fantastic Office-themed team names, and the Best Team Name prize went to Identify Theft is Not a Joke, Jim! It was so much fun, and looking forward to seeing you all next week for the Pokemon theme! Rumor has it there may even be a prize available for dressing up…..
