QUIZ RECAP

Well it was a high scoring game for two teams, and an average game for most. But taht didn't stop everyone enjoying this last game. Golden Gurlz won it all for the second time in Draconum history! They did it in style, too, scoring an impressive 68 points. Elifino came in second place, with 51 points.

Shout-out to Mary Would Be Here But Her Foot's In A Boot for their name. It was a bit of a tongue twister at times. Kings Of Trivia were also the king's of the drinking round. Teams had to guess the top speed of Olly, the falcon that flies around the stadium before Los Angeles FC games. Kings Of Trivia guessed 150 mph, not even close to his true top speed of 210 mph. Regardless, they win free beer!

I want to say thank you. Not just to the teams that were here tonight, but to every team that showed up for trivia. From the dedicated teams that showed up every week, to the teams that stumbled onto a game and played along for a night. You made Mondays great. So for now, just remember: no encyclopedias!

This whas definitely an intense game with many attempts at doubles, and missed opportunities to double. Flying Solo doubled right out of the gate, taking the lead. Boner Thugz N' Harmony and Case of the Mondays could have doubled, but didn't take the chance. Almost all teams did well in Round 1, except for SCV Diablos who failed his double or nothing attempt. Case of the Mondays were confident enough to double in Round 2, along with The Chicken Nuggs, and Boner Thugz N' Harmony. The "B" Team, however, didn't double. With all of these doubles, it was getting crowded at the top. Round 3 was all about graduation (at the opposite end of the school year). Both Down In A Hole and Boner Thugz N' Harmony could have doubled, but didn't. Luckily for Boner Thugz, Flying Solo failed his double so they had the lead.

In the Guess Who Round, three teams flexed their Broadway knowledge and answered Andrew Lloyd Webber for 8 points: Down In A Hole, SCV Diablos, and Flying Solo. The same number of teams guessed wrong and lost a point. Nothing changed mush in Round 5.

Case of the Mondays failed a double in Round 6, continuing the reign of the Boner Thugz. Most teams did well in Round 7, but no perfect scores. Down In A Hole came in 3rd, despite never doubling in a game like this one. Flying Solo finished with just 3 more points than the team in 3rd. Finishing first, with 63 points was Boner Thugz N' Harmony. This was a great battle of experienced teams, and a comeback for Boner Thugz N' Harmony, who was out of the money last week. Thank you everyone for coming out, it was a blast!
