What an exciting game this was. Boner Thugz N' Harmony started out strong, and sustained a decent lead throughout the game. Newcomers Radioflyr doubled in Round 3 to put them in 2nd for most of the game.

Dragon Breath won the drinking round, where teams named items that could be found in a kitchen. The table was shaken up in the last round, when Elifino and Radioflyr successfully doubled. Because of this, Boner Thugz N' Harmony finished in 3rd despite having the lead since Round 1. Elifino came in 2nd, and Radioflyr won the top prize. If they decide to try their luck again next week, the veterans won't make the same mistake of underestimating a rookie team.

QUIZ RECAP

It was a busy night at Brewery Draconum. Many teams came to compete, but only 3 would win gift certificates to Brewery Draconum. Could this be the night of the underdog, or will the usual teams continue their dominance? After Round 1, the lead was shared by newcomers RELish and a slightly more experienced team in Aleing Failures. Golden Gurlz didn't like seeing these rookies taking all the glory, so they doubled in Round 2 to claim the lead. The table stayed about the same in Round 3.

In the Guess Who round, brand new team Mom And Me guessed the 10 point clue, a very impressive feat for first-timers. This also put them in third place, with Aleing Failures and Golden Gurlz ahead of them. Ziptied didn't like sitting near the bottom, so they doubled in Round 5. Despite being the only team to guess the connection, they missed 1 question and got 0 points for the round.

We took a break from trivia to play the Drinking Round, where teams could win another round of drinks. It was as simple card game, guessing whether the next card drawn would be higher or lower than the previous. Aleing Failures, ironically didn't fail at winning some ale. Only 2 teams got more than 5 points in Round 6: Dragon Style and the Targaryens. The teams did even worse in Round 7, nearly all of them got 3 or less points out of a possible 10.

Final scores were calculated, and there was a problem. Two teams were tied for 3rd place with 35 points each. It was between Aleing Failures and brand-new team Mom and Me. They had to guess the length of Interstate 90. Mom and Me were more accurate by just 100 miles and won 3rd place. Another newer team, I'm With Stupid took 2nd and veterans Golden Gurlz won 1st.

This was definitely a quieter game of trivia composed of dedicated veterans. It was time for some heavy hitters to face off. In Round 1 both Yorkshire Puddings and Golden Gurlz got 4 points. Elifino should have doubled, but had the lead at 8. In Round 2, Golden Gurlz took the lead with a double, and Yorkshire Puddings should have doubled. It was the same in Round 3, Yorkshire Puddings failing to double yet again.

Elifino and Golden Gurlz earned 6 points in the Guess Who round, and Yorkshire Puddings got 4. In Round 5, Yorkshire Puddings finally doubled, but this time they missed a question so they got 0 points for the round. They were not lucky that night. Golden Gurlz and Elifino did really well, however, getting 9 points each.

We then took a break from trivia to build paper planes! Each team carefully engineered their paper flying machines to absolute precision, knowing that each minor tweak to their creation could win or lose them a free round of beer. They stepped up to the line to try out their entries. Elifino had a respectable throw, getting halfway down the bocce ball court. Yorkshire Puddings were up next, and suffered due to a sloppy fold. Then Golden Gurlz stepped up and threw their plane about 66% of the way down the court. The only team between them and sweet drinking round glory was late-round entrant Smarty Pints. They threw, but threw short despite a successful test throw in the bar. Golden Gurlz won the drinking round, but could they win it all?

Maybe not, as in Round 6 they only got 5 points. Yorkshire Puddings again should have doubled, but didn't. The points for Round 7 were similar. Yorkshire Puddings got 7, Golden Gurlz got 7, and Elifino got 8. There was now a tie for 1st between Elifino and Golden Gurlz. They got the tie-breaker question: "How many calories are in Outback Steakhouse's regular Bloomin' Onion?" Elifino guessed 2,500 calories and Golden Gurlz guessed 2,300. The answer was 1,950 calories, making Golden Gurlz the winners of the night! With this game, you can really see how important the Double or Nothing is. Yorkshire Puddings would have won with 63 points if they doubled on all the rounds they were correct on. That's a whole 24 points that they missed out on. Something tells me that we'll see more Double or Nothings from them in the future.
