Oh happy day, it's good to be home!
After an extensive time romping around the sherry streets of Paris, I have returned to Los Angeles once again to hand deliver sweet trivia questions to the tender brains of the masses.
It was a splendid evening in Clayton's Public House. Ash was sporting an excellent man-bun behind the bar, drinks were poured aplenty, and Tiny Tim just got over his nasty bout with Polio.
Congrats to team Mr. Rogers Didn't Die for This, for winning with a hearty scoop of 72 points. Also, special shoutout to Sean of said team for the shoutout in the publication Downtown News. King Trivia and Clayton's both got a nice little write up, which you can see in the pictures.
See y'all next week, or, as they say in France, see y'all next le week!

It was a lovely summer night on Spring St as we gathered for our weekly Monday trivia -- and I had fun subbing in and DJ'ing with the help of Ed Sheeran's dulcet tones. Yes, we were all dancing along by the end of the night to his catchy bops and beats.
Fun was had by all as the six teams that emerged including newcomers It's Caitlin's Birthday (Happy Birthday, Caitlin!!! -- come back even when it's not your birthday!) stayed way close within 2-3 points behind each other all night through the first four rounds.
O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A soon got stuck in everyone's heads and huge honorable mentions to those who got the theme/connection for Round Five early on and tried to work backwards to figure out the head-scratchers.
Yes, I agree, Clock Face, Clock Man, Tick Tock, and Death Clock would all make great diabolical alternate names for the classic Green Arrow villain, Clock King.
A three-way tie emerged by Round Five and a successful and shrewdly-chosen double-down in Round Six had Arcadians + that guy running away with and finishing as the lead.
Flaming Moe's came in second and it was great to see their camaraderie -- we should all go watch their band play! And Ssshhh was spectacular too, coming in third place after getting the Guess Who? at just eight points in before any other team.
The teams knew their dragons more than their floral-album-covered artists and shout-out to bartender Ash who encourages us all to pick up The Wheel of Time and read them 800-900pg novels! Are they really that long? Guess I'll have to check 'em out from my local library. (PSA for using your local library, too.)
Also HUGE thank you to Clayton's Public House other staffers, including Romeo for helping figure out the sound system -- and two heads were so much better than one, as is the theme of trivia night.
And thank you to Natalia, too, for bringing a smile to all our faces.
Awwwww...it was only my first time here but I already miss everyone.
Sorry -- was that too cheesy?
Must still have Round 7 on my mind.
PS Check out this pretty fancy sparkling ginger lemonade!
PPS Congrats to a thrilling, thrilling MLB Drinking Round that Eagleton Sucks (with the very neat handwriting) ultimately won -- and honorable mention to The Vegetarian Meat Eaters who repped as the only woman among the other guy reps.
