About Clayton's Public House

With its home in the historic Spring Arcade Building in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles’ Historic Core, Clayton’s Public House is a creative collage of a forgotten time, a light-hearted, fun, tongue-in-cheek, artistic rendering of what entertained the Victorians of the 1880s while also paying homage to the Turn of The Century through the 1920s.

Offering 32 craft beers on tap featuring many local breweries, rare international beers, signature by-gone-era cocktails by master mixologist and sommelier, Krisi Jensen, and elevated gastropub cuisine, Clayton’s has something for everyone, much like the time period it celebrates.

Well. It was an interesting night of trivia. I ended up getting all the scores wrong, spilled Tabasco on my pants, and had to break up a literal bar fight. I guess Arcadians and that guy didn't like being called Arcadians and FAT guy.*

In the end, Eagleton Sucks did anything BUT suck, and soared into first place with a cool 48 points.

Some other highlights:

-God did NOT tell Adam and Eve to "work hard", but you know what, maybe he should have.

-I love that we started the night with The Jonas Brothers and ended with the Confederacy.

-I'm also glad that only one of those groups had a comeback.

It was a quiet evening at Clayton's. Everyone was still feeling the post-St. Patrick's Day Blues (a natural color progression after Green), but that didn't stop the dedicated few who showed up from playing a hardy round of trivia. There were losers, there were winners, there were questions about 3D Printers. In the end, team SSSHHH won with a whopping 72 points. Good job trivia wizards.

Here's some other highlights:

-Shoutout to the question about Fiddler on the Roof, which no one knew the answer to, but filled my heart with joy having been forced to watch my brother in a production of Fiddler on the Roof about 12 different times in my life. Tradition, baby.

-Also shoutout to Gwen Stefani for really reclaiming "If I Were a Rich Man" into an absolute bop for the feminist movement.

-Let's be honest, some of those 3D Printer Images were pretty damn scary to look at.
