QUIZ RECAP

OMG! What a crazy freaky exciting windy night at Edna Vees! I saw old friends from other bars, and new friends who I hope stick around forever! We were still well in the holiday spirit as everyone was definitely together having fun. Togetherness was the order of the day, as Why do you ask, Two Dogs? and The Third wheel had identical scores for the first three rounds, and 7 teams had 6s in round 2, and 7 more had 5s in round 3. I could go on, but you get the idea.

The drinking round was full of togetherness as the representative from We're Shite sang Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and got the whole audience to participate.

There was no disputing the night's winner, Cocoa Puffs, who walked away with 48 points and a $30 gift card.

The wind was howling through the huge bay doors, blowing my papers everywhere and making everything crazy. But it didn't stop us and we were all still together to the end, when 3 teams were tied for second place. All 3 got the tie breaking question correct, and I had to ask another one! Then two teams got the next tie breaking question right, and I had to ask a third, til finally we had a second, third and fourth place team. In all the chaos, I forgot who was who for a second, but got everyone's prizes distributed, and I must say, if all was not calm, is certainly was bright! As in bright smiles and bight brains!

What a great group of good sports! Holiday spirit was certainly in the air, literally! Thanks everyone! And Thanks Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, for making spirits bright!

QUIZ RECAP

It was crazy loud and celebratory at Edna Vees Covina! The inaugural trivia night was a huge hit! We had registered teams, and many playing just because, and they were all pretty darn smart. There were lots of ties throughout the night, and there was really no knowing who might come out on top. There were some great great double downs and a few devastating ones, and our drinking round was hilarious fun! We sang Christmas carols, and the drinking round winner was Gary from The Graysons, who brought props courtesy of the birthday party he was attending. A mylar helium balloon! He sang like a chipmunk then asked me for a ride back to his table as his spirits got a little too, er high! Yep had to give it to him! Beer and helium, who knew?

Twig and Berry also sang and shimmied with no shame whatsoever. They didn't win the drinking round, the won the night! Thanks to steady scores all night with nothing less than a 6. Fab Four and Penguino came pretty close to winning all night, in fact they were neck and neck for the lead in round 6. but then they got a 2 and a 5 respectively in round 7, and Twig and Berry scored a 6. Along with their 2 points for having a registered team number, they beat Penguino by a single point to win the night. Way to go guys, that was a helluva game! Thanks to you all and see you next week!
