It was a packed house with young and old trivia competitors alike. Mischief Managed took the #1 spot but with team Cocoa Puffs nipping at their heels. There were solid performances all down the roster with each group giving it their all. Just another great night of trivia!

What a night! 12 teams, all so different, yet with one thing in common: a thirsty desire to win at the #1 trivia game in town. There was A LOT of energy in the room that seemed to only grow as the competition grew fiercer, even bubbling over at times causing the poor man on the mic to dance and vamp a bit to get the room back on track. But really, it was a game to remember. What happened exactly? Well one highlight was when The Golden Girls snatched the free drink contest right out of the Bad Mofo's gullets by a razor's edge winning guess. There was also that moment at the end when determining who would be the ultimate victor by the tie-breaking question: what is the elevation of Denali? And would you believe it, the champion that Mischief Managed sent forth for this final test guessed the correct height of that imposing mountain to the EXACT foot?! I wouldn't believe it if I wasn't there and saw it with my own eyes but he sure enough did, winning his team the number 1 spot for the night including a generous cash reward from the bar. There were other tales to tell but there's only so much telling that can be done in a single sitting so they'll have to stay tucked away in the memories of all the great and lively competitors that participated in what could sincerely be called A GREAT NIGHT OF TRIVIA.

QUIZ RECAP
Round 1 started off ROWDY! There was a lot of energy in the room which carried boisterous laughing throughout the evening as 12 teams squared off in the battle over generous prizes (not to mention the pride) of winning the first bout of trivia in 2019 at Edna Vees. The two top teams, 2nd Cousins and Mischief Managed, made daring double or nothing plays which catapulted their scores towards a hairsplitting neck to neck finish with 2nd Cousins triumphantly claiming the crown. The other teams put up a valiant effort and contributed to the evening's jollity with lots of positive energy and comically timed shouts. Beers were a flowin' thanks to the friendly waitstaff and I think it's safe to say that we all collectively kicked off the new year right!
