Howdy y’all. We can’t wait to have ya come kick up your boots and stay awhile at El Tejano, Los Angeles’ ultimate Tex Mex hangout. The plan is to serve the usual suspects: enchiladas, queso, Frito Pie, in and amazing indoor/outdoor relaxed environment. And don’t forget the margaritas: frozen, on the rocks, with a beer in it for all we care. Just get here quick for great grub and a huge outdoor patio chalk full of games to play and TVs to watch.

What an exciting game of trivia at El Tejano this week!!  At one point we had a tie for first place AND second place only a point behind them!  Then, in the LAST ROUND, OMGs successfully double-or-nothinged using their superior SNL knowledge to swoop in and take it all!!

But that's not all! Because if the former third place team Like Winter, I'm Coming had risked a double-or-nothing, they would have taken first place because they had all the answers in round 7 correct!  As it was, they had to settle for moving up to second, while one of the teams that had been in the lead, Urethra Franklin, landed in third.

For our drink round, we took advantage of the long beer pong table where i set up, and used my milk crate for a first round of scratch paper target practice.  The few that managed to make that easy goal then moved on to a smaller table bucket (you know, for silverware and napkins), and only one team made that target, and thus Bad News Beers won a free round of beers.  Good news for them, ironically.

AHHHH, it was so nice on the patio at El Tejano this week!  12 teams faced off for the top spots and gift certificates while eating great Mexican food and drinking enormous drinks!

Rapid Fire Bunnies took the top spot, while second place team UUAF only beat third placers The HASbros by only one point!

The drink game tonight was a skills-based game, where players had to put an answer sheet into a bucket.  They could crumple it, fold it or whatever, and we ended up having to have a tie-breaker!  Very exciting!

The hot hot night only made for some heated competition this week at El Tejano!  Eleven teams battled for the prizes and free drinks, but only three could prevail!

Son Assembly Required completely missed the first round because they didn't realize we were playing outside, but they still managed to secure a first place win!! Amazing! Then Anything But Last pulled off a second place win, far exceeding their own expectations, and Flying Han Solo placed in the top 3 for the first time ever!

We played a completely luck-based three-round drink round.  We started with a dice-roller app on my phone and set it to a d20.  Everyone got a roll and had to decide if the next roll was going to be higher or lower.  If they were wrong (or tied) they were out, until we got down to the last person.  Then the second round was a simple coin toss.  Call it wrong and you're out, down to the last person. Then the two winners faced off in an EPIC game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, where they had no less than 4 ties before someone eked out a victory!

Joey and his friends also joined us for his birthday celebration, and their energy was a welcome addition to the patio! So of course I had the whole restaurant sing Happy Birthday to our b-day boy! They grow up so fast, don't they...
