Howdy y’all. We can’t wait to have ya come kick up your boots and stay awhile at El Tejano, Los Angeles’ ultimate Tex Mex hangout. The plan is to serve the usual suspects: enchiladas, queso, Frito Pie, in and amazing indoor/outdoor relaxed environment. And don’t forget the margaritas: frozen, on the rocks, with a beer in it for all we care. Just get here quick for great grub and a huge outdoor patio chalk full of games to play and TVs to watch.

Another great night of Trivia at El Tejano! We filled up the patio to capacity with quizzy goodness 😉

Competition was fierce for the three gift certificates, but after the dust settled, The Curtis Granderson Experience took the top spot, with Turd Fergusen and The Brewsual Suspects following close behind...

REMINDER: I won't be hosting next week due to birthday festivities, so you'll have a sub. Treat them nice!  I'll be back with you in 2 weeks!

Such a great night of trivia at El Tejano!!  First of all, we've settled on a format.  With apologies for the past couple weeks, I've been trying to figure out how to best serve everybody, but from now on (or at least until it gets cold out), trivia will be OUTSIDE, and inside will be for sportball-watching.

This week's quiz, though... man, it was tough.  I mean, I know trivia is about trivial knowledge, but come on.  "What is Bert's favorite soda on Sesame Street"??  That's a bridge too far...

The fourteen teams playing tonight were not deterred, though, and though scores were low (only two successful Double-or-Nothings the entire game!), we had tons of fun. AND there was a TIE for FIRST PLACE!  Always Be Batman won the tie-breaker to win the largest of three gift certificates, while The Last Team On Earth had to settle for second, and Like Winter, I'm Coming, only two points behind, snagged third.

WHOA!  A record night of trivia at El Tejano this week with 20 teams playing for gift certificates and free beer!

Sure, a few teams couldn't handle the pressure, but man, this place is turning into THE place to be on Thursday nights!

At the final tally, only 5 points separated the top 3 teams!  Turd Ferguson grabbed the top spot, with Don't Tell HR taking second with the sexiest score possible (probably that's what they're afraid of HR finding out about), and Saved By The Well landing in third place.

Moving  forward, I know two things.  First, we have to figure out a better way than to try to cover inside AND outside with my two little speakers.  And second, the hard shell taco plate and the California Cobb salad are the high points of my week.  I mean, damn.
