QUIZ RECAP

Hey hey hey, O'Donny's! Welcome back to your weekly ass kicking!

We had a mediocre round one with only one team getting all the answers correct...but not checking the Double or Nothing box...what the heck, Ship of Fools?! Believe in yourself!

Both There's No Crying In Trivia and Rita Wilson's Widow Fund stepped it up in round two though by securing successful Double or Nothings leaving the rest of you in the dust by at least 8 points.

In round three, we all learned what the hell "saimin" is together. So that was weird. But also, we had FIVE successful Double or Nothings which is the most in any round we've ever had here at O'Donovan's MY DUDES! Must be the super moon or whatever.

And you guys kept the smarty pants theme going because in round four, I only had to read TWO clues before everyone guessed The White Stripes. I have to say, after the last couple of weeks, I am impressed! Ya'll woke up!

Our beer round this week had There's No Crying In Trivia turning their answer sheet before the music was even done playing. But Let's Get Quizzical wasn't far behind them. You two nearly tied...until I realized Let's Get Quizzical spelled "Zepplin" wrong. Nothing tastes better than a free pitcher of beer won solely on a spelling mistakes, amiright?

The next two rounds gave us a couple successful Double or Nothings and one unsuccessful one. But it was still anyone's game (except Ship of Fools) going into round seven.

And finally, to make for an extra sexy final round, we had Mystery Inc. and Rita Wilson's Widow Fund tie for second and third place. Rita Wilson's Widow Fund snatched the second place spot with a tie breaker win. And of course, a hearty congratulations to There's No Crying In Trivia for winning first place!

QUIZ RECAP

Hey hey O'Donovan's! It's Wednesday and it's time to get down to smarty pants business. All our regulars came PLUS two new teams - we're growin' the trivia cult, my pub prodigies!

I gotta say...ya'll started off weak tonight! No one got all the answers correct in round one. So rude. Round two proved just as tough for you - I guess serial killers and creeps aren't your thing, huh? But in round three, you guys woke up. Or at least Let's Get Quizzical! and There's No Crying In Trivia did, both with successful Double or Nothings.

Round four was uneventful. Moving on.

Our beer round was a blast as usual! I played you 10 second clips of songs and you had to guess the artist, the song title, AND the theme again this week for an extra point. You guys paid attention to spelling because we had a straight up tie for free beer. Let's Get Quizzical and Too Much Sauce got eight points each so of course I had to do a tiebreaker. A poor, poor soul from each team was asked to come up to the stage and fold their answer sheets into paper planes. On the count of "fly" they threw them and because Let's Get Quizzical's made a hard 180 turn and crashed into the ground (I mean honestly - it broke the natural law of physics - I don't know how you screwed up that bad), Too Much Sauce secured the free pitcher of beer!

Round five was also uneventful. Strike it from the record.

Round six gave us two successful Double or Nothings and one horribly, horribly unsuccessful Double or Nothing. That put Let's Get Quizzical in prime position that they held on to through the final round, winning first place!

QUIZ RECAP

It's Wednesday night again and you guys know what that means....it's time for me to whoop your asses with some straight up knowledge.

We had our usual five regular teams back this week and as always, I loved seeing you guys! Round one seemed pretty easy for you this week. There's No Crying In Trivia and Let's Get Quizzical both got successful Double or Nothings plus the two points for submitting their answers with their King Trivia team numbers.

Round two was a little intense...most of you wrote "latte" for question four but the answer was "flat white", and both Odonnahoez and Let's Get Quizzical had something to say about it. Alas, as you all know, the Quizmaster's ruling is always right. Also, I looked it up and put ya'll in your place so...sorry not sorry ?\_(?)_/?

Rounds three was tough. The highest any team scored on round three was four points. But the next round put you all back on track because I only got three clues in before everyone guessed the correct answer. Well everyone except I Guess Tit! that is...they took a one point hit for guessing wrong on the first clue. A for effort though, guys. A not well thought out, shitty effort...but an A nonetheless.

Our beer round this week had most of you head to head for the free pitcher of beer. You all had to give me the song titles and band names per usual AND guess the theme for the extra point. We only had one team get an ALMOST perfect score with 10 points. They only missed one song title. Good job, Let's Get Quizzical!

Round number six was a fun one - almost all of you got perfect scores with successful Double or Nothings...except I Guess Tit! AGAIN - zeroed out because of one wrong answer with the DoN box checked. Ouch, my dudes.

And finally, round seven was a blast because FIVE teams went for Double or Nothings and GOT THEM. WHEW.
