QUIZ RECAP

Happy trivia day, O'Donovan's! We had a pretty strong round one tonight. Ship of Fools hit us all with a successful Double or Nothing and reminded us they ain't here to make friends. Unfortunately for them, There's No Crying In Trivia came right back with a left hook and snatched the lead after also banking a successful Double or Nothing in round two. Is it weird that I was hoping for a food fight?

But you guys weren't done with your pissing contest yet. We had THREE teams get successful Double or Nothings in round three. that was exciting...but you guys finally lost some steam in round four when no one went for the 10 point clue and Let's Get Quizzical ended up with a negative point. What happened?!

My beer round stumped you too this week. You had to guess the song title, artist, and the theme. Three teams got most of the songs and artists but no one got the theme - songs with clapping in them. Hey, at least the songs were clapping for you.

This week seemed to be top heavy with a strong first few rounds and a pretty sad second half. I don't blame you though. Your Presidents' Day this week was probably a rager.

QUIZ RECAP

Ahhhh my favorite night of the week...Trivia Wednesday! All my regular teams showed up and some of you even grew - what are ya'll, rabbits?

So round one made you all look like dunces because not one team got a perfect score. I have to say...I'm a little disappointed in you, O'Donny's. But luckily, I'm a super nice person and I let you try to make it up to me in the next round.

...but you didn't. Well OhDonnaHoez kinda did by getting all the answers correct - except they didn't check the Double or Nothing box. So you know, an obvious fail.

But again, I'm the sweetest person you ever met in your life. So I let you try again in round three. But you guys still let me down and now we're in a fight. I hope you're happy.

Let's just skip to the beer round, shall we? This week I asked you to give me the next line in the love song clip I played. Four of you wanted that free pitcher so badly, I had to come up with a tie breaker song on the spot. But finally, There's No Crying In Trivia snatched the pitcher away from Let's Get Quizzical by singing the next line in Sam Cooke's Cupid when I stopped the song randomly. Enjoy your beer, lovers!

It might have been a tough trivia night in terms of points...but There's No Crying In Trivia came out on top again. I guess a free pitcher of beer wasn't enough! 😉

QUIZ RECAP

Welcome back to trivia night, O'Donovan's! All of you were savages right out the gate - we had three successful Double or Nothings and two almost perfect scores in round one. That can-do 'tude persevered through round two but came to a screeching halt in round three when I Guess Tit! went for the Double or Nothing but did not have all the answers correct - ouch. That made way for Let's Get Quizzical to take the lead...but not for long.

Our beer round was super tough this week. I asked you guys to listen to covers of songs in different genres and give me the song titles and the ORIGINAL artist. You got extra points for also naming the cover artist if you could name the original artist first. Alas, we did not have a room of cover connoisseurs, so the free pitcher of beer went to I Guess Tit! with eight correct answers. I'll go easier on you next week, I promise.

By round six, Ship of Fools had taken over the lead, but only by five points, leaving Let's Get Quizzical, There's No Crying In Trivia, and I Guess Tit! all tied for second place. That made for a particularly spicy round seven while those three teams duked it out for second and third place and Ship of Fools clutched on to first place as hard as they could.

So who beat out who? Well Ship of Fools hung on tight to first place of course! And that battle for second was a close one but There's No Crying In Trivia snatched it, kicking Let's Get Quizzical to third and I Guess Tit! out of the top three completely. As I mentioned earlier, you guys are savages! Thanks for playing and see you all next week!
