Good day, True Believers! It's Chris, your friendly, neighborhood quiz-master, here to recap last night's epic King Trivia throw-down from the always awesome, Oil Horse Brewing Company, in lovely downtown Longview, Texas!

Well, it finally happened! Our buddies from Everything Is Ossamus FINALLY were able to break through into the Top 3! After weeks of just missing out, the crew was able to climb back into one of those coveted prize winning spots. They finished 2nd with a strong 70 points. The only team to top them was Beep Beep Richie, who used some savvy strategy to pass EIO during the final two round. They finished with an impressive 80 points. In third place was Bangarang! (Rufio, Rufio, Ru-fi-OOOOOOOO!) with 66 points, also surging over the final two rounds.

Besides Bangarang!, last night featured numerous great teams such as Periodic Table Dancers, A proper copper coffee pot, Let's Get Quizzical, Hold Me Closer Tiny Answer (I love puns!), U up-question mark? and my personal favorite of the night, Attractive Nuisance. We were also left wondering if the Drunk Trash Pandas had fully upgraded to Classy, Cool or Neato. Does anyone know? Come out next Thursday to Oil Horse at 6pm to find out! Greetings True Believers! It's me, your friendly neighborhood quizmaster Chris here to give you your weekly recap of last night's epic King Trivia showdown, coming to you, as always, from the incredible Oil Horse Brewing Company in lovely downtown Longview, TX! As usual, the beer was delicious and cold, and the questions were white-hot! In fact, we had one of the highest scores ever recorded at this location, and also one of the biggest blowouts!

Despite not being super accurate on naming the four holiest cities in Judaism, (in fact, only one time answered more than 2 of those, special shout-out to last night's runner-ups, Hot Air Balloon Baby) Ice Cream With the Enemy racked up a whooping 78 points, which pushed them to a 17 point victory over HABB. In third place was the Magical Unicorns, who just slid by Everything Is Ossamus, who finished with 54 and 53 points, respectively.

We had another huge crowd, and I personally can't wait to see it grow even larger! Oil Horse is the spot to be in Longview on Thursday nights thanks to crowds like that!

On a down note, I seem to have caught some bug last night, which is making this recap a bit more difficult than usual; nevertheless, I can't wait to see y'all next week at 6pm! Excelsior!

QUIZ RECAP

Good day! It's Chris, your friendly neighborhood Quizmaster, here to recap another incredible night of quizzing at the always awesome Oil Horse Brewing Company! I love when we learn new things during a quiz and last night, we learned what the hell the friendship paradox is, and just how easy it is to confuse ancient Greek philosophers! Round number 3 was all about friendship, and for our teams, friendship was most certainly not magic. As usual, we had another close game with 5 teams finishing within 6 points of each other for 2nd and 3rd place. The Sanderson Sisters had what amounts to a runaway victory, finishing with 50 points, 7 ahead of Oysters and Clams, and Friends of Bologna (easily the worst lunch meat BTW) rounding out the top 3. As always, if you are in the Longview area on Thursday nights, stop by, enjoy some delicious beer (I recommend Loblolly, Landman, Daisy Bradford or Yard Dog as some of my favorites) and play some trivia.
