QUIZ RECAP

Tonight was one for the ages - and not just because there was a question about Thong Song. Linguine's perrenial rivals were away this week. Would that mean an easy victory? Not in this house! New teams Elixir bunghole and Team Get in the Van both brought the heat! Not even a notoriously challenging Find the Connection Round could throw these trivia titans; many rounds ended with a first place tie. Even when the tie finally broke in Round 6, Linguine only led by one point! In the end, their superior knowledge of Canadian capitals sealed Linguine's decisive victory!

With League Season 15 entering the final month, can our champions keep their winning streak alive? Or will you be the one to take the biggest share of our weekly cash prizes? You gotta be in it to win it! So we'll see you every monday night at Prince O' Whales - The Place to Play in Playa del Rey!

QUIZ RECAP

Two of California's most tenacious teams held nothing back as they faced off yet again in their battle to be declared the state's greatest champions, sending shockwaves of disbelief throughout the Southland! I'm told there was also some sort of basketball game.

Our resident rivals, A Tribe Called Quiz and Linguine (playfully teasing Quiz with a temporary name change), are the friendliest folks you'll meet, but their mental maneuvering is merciless! They were so focused on defeating each other, their aggresive use of Double or Nothing backfired, keeping newcomers Lmu hockey in the running for the lead. But both veteran squads bounced back big time, and knowledge of greeting cards and baller brothers lifted A Tribe Called Quiz to yet another victory! Congrats to our other "tribe" and  Lmu hockey for their prize-worthy showings, and big thaks to all our teams for their fantastic play!

QUIZ RECAP

Competitions have always been defined by their great rivalries. Magic vs. Bird. Ali vs. Frazier. And now, at King Trivia Mondays at Prince O’ Whales, another legendary rivalry has emerged: Linguine vs. A Tribe Called Quiz! So far, their showdowns have resulted in 6 first-place finishes, and their streak of top-3 finishes is just as impressive. When such a mélange of mental mastery makes so massive a mark, can any competitor come close?

Turns out, yes! Round 1 concluded with both teams completing perfect rounds, resulting in a tie… with The Grateful Dead Kennedys, a new team consisting of a single player! The 3 teams dominated throughout, utilizing an impressive number of successful doubles. The Quiz and the Dead ended several rounds in a tie, with Linguine just slightly behind. Our lone warrior finally broke into the lead in Round 6… by a single point! It all came down to a final round of recent Disney films. Linguine boldly doubled… and settled for 3rd place. The final margin of victory was 2 points - and The Grateful Dead Kennedys‘ valiant effort ended in a 2nd place finish, with A Tribe Called Quiz taking another victory!
