Oh, Monday, Monday. For some folks it's a drag, but at Red Star, it only means one thing; trivia night! Some big brains headed down to test their skills. Some did well, others did extraordinary. Since you're reading this blog, let me give you the details of the evening's trivial festivities .
For the visual round, the players had to guess the actors and actresses who names are alliterate. The answers in round three all ended in STY. Wise Jedi master Yoda was the fictional "Guess Who" character of the night. The connection in round five was all established record labels. The contestants were asked to match the movie line to the baddie villain who quoted it . In the final round, the teams were told to list off the six South American Countries below the Equator and five of the six mattress sizes sold by Casper mattress company, not the friendly ghost. Now, for the evenings winning teams.
Let's Go Trivia scored second-to-last place with 46 points. There was a tie between teams A Fun Team Name and The Droids You're Looking For. Even though both teams both went over on the tie breaking question, one team went over a smidge bit less. The Droids You're Looking For received the second place prize and A Fun Team Name not only won the tie breaker, but they earned first prize too. Bravo, teams!

Summer is almost to a close. What's a better way to enjoy the final weeks of Summer than some trivial madness? Well, Red Star certainly had the trivia & it had all the tasty dishes too. Here's what went down at trivia night.
In the visual round, contestants had to name the celebrities born around Virgo season (August 23rd-September 22nd). Round three was full of vitamins & minerals. Funny man Patton Oswalt was the "Guess Who" subject of the evening. "Find the Connection" Monopolize the entire game. Teams had to match a pair of films to the city it's set. And for the final round, the contestants were asked to list the 10 best selling sodie-pops according to Newsweek. Let's now Segway to the teams to took it to the limit.
Placing second-to-last was TakeCover with 30 points. Red Star regulars Worst Shorts Ever earned second place with a solid 73 points. The reigning supreme team of the night with a collective score of 66 points was Headbangers Ball. Hip-hip-hooray!

There was so much to celebrate at Red Star. There were a couple of of parties that gathered together, also a table had a birthday celebration. To top it off, it was Monday night trivia! Now, for the low-down on yesterday's game.
The players had to identify the images from TV & film by the pizza shot. Round four was french revolution & cake related. Activist & daughter of acting legend Henry Fonda, Jane Fonda, was the "Guess Who" icon of the evening. The fifth round was quite fishy. The teams had to match the tallest building to the city it stands tall in. For the final round, The contestants were asked to list off the 10 longest running game shows in US history.
The second-to-last place team was Birthday Bitches with 27 points. Wild Whiskers placed second with a score of 50 points. And the night's winner sweeping the rest of the competition was Valley Dwellers with an outstanding 66 points. Go teams, go!
