QUIZ RECAP

Six teams showed up for bunches of brunches and bunches of trivia at Society Kitchen today. The one-woman wrecking crew of Hot For Teacher led from start to finish in a closely contested match. The one-man wrecking crew of High Society kept it close, and there was a close fight between the three-person wrecking crew of @Ebomb4565 (who I understand to be a streamer on Youtube, if you all follow him you'll double his followers overnight), and the two two-person wrecking crews of Toucan Panda and S+M (who cleverly escaped before I could snap their picture). Toucan Panda pulled out the third place win and a $15 credit, and a good wrecking time was had by all.

So many fun and familiar faces at Society Kitchen this Sunday! The game started a little late because the restaurant was POPPIN'!!

It seems as though word is spreading about the good times and great eats in our little Santa Monica brunch-spot.

Divisions were made quickly between our two regular front runners and the rest of our players. Dead Poets' Society Kitchen & Raiders Assembled doubled down successfully in the first round, securing their place at the front of the race for the rest of the day.

Dead Poets' Society got gutsy in round 3 and unsuccessfully doubled down - which set them back to second place with 17 to Raider's 23 -- but still a solid 6 points above High Society and 5 above Team O'Mila. They did their best to bounce back with a wicked-brilliant round 5 double down, popping them up 43-40... but it turns out that Raiders were holding on to a ringer! Their guest player for the week was an avid rugby fan from England! In a huge upset to what seemed like a sure thing, Raiders snatched first place with 20 points in the final round!!

Next week, Dead Poets' Society Kitchen will be comin' for ya, Raiders! Let's make it a trivia brunch to remember!

Me oh my, call the doctor! Trivia was wild this week at Society Kitchen -- we had three teams successfully double down right off the bat! However, one team just kept doubling down -- "The Rest of My Team Runs on Hawaiian Standard Time," normally the "Team of Enchantment" let their fate rest in the hands of a solo player who really flexed her knowledge in the first three rounds!

It was clear very quickly that first place was reserved for this high-falutin, doublin-down team -- but there were still two other spaces on the platform for a secondary and tertiary win, and the other seven teams were battling hard for the title!

While finding the connection, people really had a tough time with the first answer - which many said would have given the connection away immediately had they known who Kermit Washington was, as they regularly think of the muppets -- but alas, we had some tricky questions this round! However, despite it all, Invincible Sharks! came through with a mega-successful double down, all-but securing their 2nd place slot by pulling ahead 13 points over the next closest contender.

This is where the real competition for third place began- with the scores varying between 1 and 9, it seemed as though it could be anybody's game, but 3rd wheel had just enough baseball and Coen brother juju to clinch the final prize.
