Fun and friends this 15th Day of Christmas/ end of New Year's Week at T. Phillip's. What can I say, I'm still in the holiday spirit. And it was nice to have some cool friends to celebrate with.
We had "I did it" and T Rex for a couple rounds adding to the fun. Fontana Knowledge came back again and are becoming great regulars. they were challenged by some strong teams. 3 Little Birds were kicking butt as the only team to get a score of 8 in two separate rounds. And ironically, the Luisers took the lead for tow rounds and were quite a threat.
Fontana Knowledge took the early lead and kept it until a devastating -1 in round 4, and they were behind. Los Mas Cabrones too the lead from the Luisers in round 6 and it looked like it was all over for Fontana Knowledge until round 7, when they won by a point! Champions once again!

Wow, fun an excitement at old T. Phillip's tonight! We had some great returning champs and good old friends. Max Wednesday and Coacoa Puffs spent most of the night neck and neck in a ding dong scenario, one point apart. First one, then the other, then back again, there was no telling who was going to win. And round 7 was crazy up in the air, it almost went every which way, when both 401k and Red Sox doubled down which would have meant everyone separated by 2 points. But oh no! 401k got the very last state on the list wrong, and darn! A zero for the round! So close and yet so far! Anything can happen, and who knows what next week will bring!?

Spirit and enthusiasm ruled the night at T. Phillip's Monrovia. Could it be Christmas Spirit? Santa has taken up residence after all. Or perhaps Chanukah Spirit as there were plenty of lights and light hearts all around. All we know for sure is, it was fun!
Happy to see some regulars making Tuesdays date night again, and some cool cool girls celebrating a birthday. Happy Birthday, Birthday Bitches, you were sure the best partiers of the night!
Round 1 sure had us all wondering what would happen next, as right out of the gate, there was a 3 way tie for first. but then Let's Get Quizzical pulled ahead, and then the tie was for second. But Fontana Knowledge fought hard and came close to taking the lead. Neck and neck, with one great double down, then another, and 401k was nipping at Fontana's heels the whole time. It was starting to look like anybody's game, as second place was up in the air, then third, but then a devastating double down by 401k rendered a 0 for round 6, and third was all but decided. And Quizzical just never quite lost his edge, and his great double down gave us round 6 scores of 0, 20 and 4. I thought round 7 might turn things around, but wow! It was hard for everyone! Quizzical even told me I was killing him! So round 7 brought us 2 6s and a 7 to seal the fates if all our top 3 players. But they're all winners and it's always fun to have you in this exciting competition. Thanks everyone!
