Wow we had some awesome competitors tonight at T. Phillip's! He's Back is our old friend Cameron, a former regular who's... wait for it... BACK! So glad to have him hopefully every week!
Newbies Max Wednesday were super excited for trivia, and it showed! They doubled down in the first round, kicked it's butt, and there was no turning back! They didn't win every round, but most of them, and had another successful double down in round 3, well there was just not stopping them, winning the show with 58 points!
Las week's winners 401k were back with their usual brand of enthusiasm and smarts, we sure do love seeing you every week! It was a great game and fun all over the place, thanks, ya'll!

It was a night of unexpected turns at T. Phillips Alehouse. We started with 3 teams. Vlahos was kicking butt, winning every round by a mile. And then they had to leave early! The smart as a whip daughter who was getting most of the answers, was also the most talented of the bunch. She was starring as Jasmine in Aladdin the next day! Well break a leg, young one!
We were then left with The Spanish Inquisition and Ginko. The Spanish Inquisition was conquering all but one round, and it seems pretty clear then were going to win it all. but then round 6 came along, and they were a bit stumped, getting only 3 correct. Ginko picked up the gauntlet then with a daring double down, and came back strong with a perfect 20 for the round setting them ahead by 10 points! Then The Spanish Inquisitors, er, Inquisition, decided they were having none of that. In round 7 those inquisitive inquisitors doubled down when listing the ten most consumed meats in the U.S., and got one wrong! Nooo, catfish is not in the top 12! So unfortunately The Inquisition got a 0 for that round. Meanwhile Ginko worked hard and kept it simple with out going double or nothing. and it paid off since they too had catfish. Hm, what is it about catfish? It's a show, but still. Well Ginko got a 6 for the round and that was enough to win the game! In fact, they won by 18 points! What a turnaround! Congratulations guys, you deserved it!

Whoohoo! We had tons of fun at T. Phillip's tonight! We started with 5 teams, and were so happy to Have Team Chuy for a few rounds. Although they left early, they were fun to have around. And so was Team Kobe, what a nice, fun couple, so happy you spent the evening with us.
401k came back after an absence of a few weeks, and it was just so great to see them. They were back with a vengeance and holding steady in second for most of the game until newbies The Liquidators nipped them in the end by 5 points.
But the night belonged to Fontana Knowledge as they were tied for 1st in round 1, then jumped ahead with a successful double down in round 2, and kept their lead for the rest of the night. Way to go guys! Can't wait to see you all next week!
