QUIZ RECAP

We had some lively fun at T. Phillips on Thursday, September 20! I want to put in the date because there's a little glitch since we're switching to Tuesdays next week, somehow it changed ALL the past dates to Tuesdays even thought it's been Thursday thus far. But yes, we had fun on Thursday. It was a highly competitive 5 teams, mostly newbies, and I just love when new teams join the enthusiastic mix. Beer Goggles and Trivia Genius 23 were tied out the gate in the first round, but then Trivia Genius beat them in round 2. But wait - what's this? What's up Butter cup beat the Geniuses by a point in round 2, tying the total score! Those two remained neck and neck in the next two rounds, but only for second as Beer Goggles doubled down in round 3, and remained in first for the rest of the game! Everyone had a tough go in round 4, with everyone getting a -1 except for Goggles, who managed to get the 2 point clue. Then Goggles the Geniuses, and Archie all doubled down in 6, but oh! The Geniuses got one wrong so 0 for the round, but Archie and Goggles both got 20. But there was just no catching Beer Goggles who were on it and ended the night with 59, ahead of second place Archie with 41. Beer Goggles make you smarter!

When 2 teams were turning in their round 7 sheets, they had a long talk about the subject of the round: NATO and the nations who started it. I love when our questions start interesting historical conversations, it makes for a fun hang! Thank you everyone, I hope to see you all next week!

QUIZ RECAP

We had lots of awws and aughs at T. Phillip's Monrovia Thursday as some tough rounds had people agonizing over many hard questions. Geography, television, music, you name it had people wondering and debating to no end. 6 is the Perfect Number and Double Entendre started slow with 4 and 2, respectively, but then 6 is the Perfect # took a commanding early lead with a double down 16 in round 2, and even though the scores after that were mostly 6s with a few other single digit scores thrown in, they never lost the lead against trailers the Double Entendres. Some late competition came in at round 4, as 2 new teams came to challenge. Despite the late start, they came very close to an upset, and finished third and fourth by just a couple points due to some great double downs and old world knowledge. Way to go, Dudes and Alsace! Hope to see you all next week!

QUIZ RECAP

We had tons of fun at T. Phillips in Monrovia. it was loud, exciting, and unpredictable! Biscuits 'n' Gravy kept things exciting with their hilarious comments and one liners, and despite coming in 4th, they definitely get the prize for being the funniest and most entertaining!

Newbies Let's Get Quizzical took an early lead, tied with Falcons, as both teams doubled down in the first 2 rounds, got them all right, and both got a 16 and a 20 in rounds 1 and 2. But suddenly, the Falcons made it an early night, so the lead belonged to Quizzical alone, and no one caught them the rest of the night, finishing with a big 86!

6 Is The Perfect Number was down a few players, and still came in second with 3 players with a 53, but Mike Wissman's Bitches were hot on their tail, getting third by a point with a 52. Way to go guys! And a special mention to Bermuda Triangle, who were great players and terrific fun guys. I hope you all come back every week!
