Some of the better/best trivia teams in Los Angeles (at least in Santa Monica, on Wednesday nights) were all at King's Head tonight. Kitten Mittens. Streets of Rage. Ready Player Juan. Reginald Vel Johnson. Red Rockets. Even Stepdads with Benefits made an appearance. The only team(s) that was missing was Dornish Game Men. When it was all said and done, when the last question (song) had been asked (played), Streets of Rage won 1st place with an impressive score of 92 points. They scored five perfect rounds (with three successful doubles) for the win. Reginald Vel Johnson were rocking out to some of their favorite hits from the 90s and finished in 2nd place (80 points). And Category Juan Hurricane (too soon, again) aka Ready Player Juan took 3rd place (70 points). Also, special thanks to Allie for helping us out tonight! We hope to see you again soon.

Congrats Streets of Rage on winning 1st place! They/Fritz scored a successful double on the last round (surprise, surprise) for the win. Ready Player Juan had the lead going into the last round, but came up a few/several/many songs short and finished in 2nd. Risking Risky Behavior and Folie A Deux were tied for 3rd place with Folie winning the tiebreaker. A special thanks to the player from Boofing who showed us his Jack Torrance impression from "The Shining." It might be better than Nicholson's 🙂

After seven rounds of trivia, it came down to a tiebreaker question about the size of Wyoming. Ready Player Juan and Streets of Rage were tied with 55 points each sending tonight's game into overtime. And Ready Player Juan was (somewhat) closer to the correct answer for the answer. Streets of Rage took 2nd place. Tuna TNC Club led going into the last round, and finished in 3rd. Also, a special Happy Birthday to Justine who turned 21 today.
