Wowww! Going into tonight's final found, there was a three-way tie for 1st place. Dornish Game Men, Streets of Rage, and Reginald Vel Johnson were all tied (63 points).  Streets of Rage have Lisa Loeb (and Michael Maher) to thank for winning 1st place 74-73 over Dornish Game Men. I'm still shaking. Reginald Vel Johnson struggled in the last round, and From the Windows to the Balls took 3rd place by two points.

I really enjoyed tonight's Game of Thrones Drinker's Round, "What's your trivia team's house motto?" Congrats House Greyjoy for winning with "We Do Not Know."

Lots of love for regular host Ron during trivia @ Ye Olde Kings Head in Santa Monica on Wednesday night. Hey, the first two letters of our name are the same, so we're basically the same person, right?

There's no question what was the highlight of the game: the Kim & Kanye's New Baby (sounds better if you say it like bay-bae) Drinking Round! Each team had to guess the name for Kanye West's and Kim Kardashian's third child (they just announced they are having a new baby via a surrogate) AND write a rap lyric using the name they came up with — which Kanye would definitely use in his next hit song.

A lot of teams went with "Wild Wild West," but Streets of Rage was the clear winner with this gem:

"Kanye, Jr."

I miss the old Kanye

So I made a new Kanye

Nobody can be Kanye, like Kanye

mic drop. Also, everyone rocked the "One Hit Wonder" music round (DEVO really deserved more hits) and Reginald Vel Johnson took 1st Place, QuizQuiztofferson took 2nd Place and the ladies of Drunkin' Donuts (pictured) claimed 3rd. Thanks peeps for a great Trivia Night @ Ye Olde Kings Head!

  1. Tonight's trivia started with the USA men's soccer team winning the Gold Cup. And it ended with a tiebreaker question about the population of Pennsylvania.

After seven rounds of trivia, Dornish Game Men and Kitten Mittens were both tied for 1st place with 74 points. Kittens Mittens got the bonus point with their answer, which was ONLY 250,000 away from Pennsylvania's population (12,784,227). This was also Kitten Mittens 1st ever back-to-back wins at King's Head. Meowwwww!

Dornish Game Men finished in 2nd place, had some delicious carrot cake (Happy Birthday Benjamin!), and said goodbye to "Abraham Lincoln" (Lennon).

Can I Borrow Some Health Insurance? (too soon) took 3rd place.

Also, an impression outing by Street of Rage (Michael) who scored 59 points without his usual teammates.
