Brand new year and decade, folks! We kicked it off with a fun game of King Trivia at OB's. 6 teams competed to see who would go home in first place and $40 towards their next OB's visit.
"Low Expectations" gained the lead after Round 1 and held it strong through most of the game. Round 3 seemed to be a difficult round for most of our teams with many of them not getting any points. 🙁 "New Year, New Me" won the Chili Cheese Fry Round when they beat out all the other teams keeping their spoon on their nose the longest. By Round 4, "New Year, New Me," "I'm Barbara Walters and This is 20/20," "Memphis Grizzlies," "Low Expectations," and "OB's Bitches" guessed the famous place on the 8 point clue. This caused a three way first place tie between "New Year, New Me," "Low Expectations," and "OB's Bitches." At the end of Round 5, "Low Expectations" snagged the lead again. But "New Year, New Me," was only behind them with one point. And "Memphis Grizzlies" was only behind THEM with one point. It was still anyone's game. "Low Expectations" picked up their lead by Round 6 with our handout round. BUT our final round was all about sports teams in 2019, a category in which "Low Expectations" has some issues. They were only able to score 5 points that round while "Memphis Grizzlies" scored an almost perfect score with 9 outta 10 points!
Our first game of 2020 ended with "Memphis Grizzlies" beating out "Low Expectations" by 2 points and going home in FIRST place and $40 towards their next OB's visit. But don't worry, "Low Expectations" went home in SECOND place and $20 towards their next OB's visit.
What a fun game and am looking forward to more in 2020!

OB's was in the Holiday Spirit as 10 teams competed in another fantastic game of King Trivia!
"Two Man Luge" came out to play and started the game really well leading the pack by Round 3. Unfortunately, they answered incorrectly in Round 4 and lost a point. "Candy Cane Lame," "Where's Cassidy," "Facts," "Do It for the Sam," and "Cornbread" all got the maximum amount of points in Round 4 guessing the famous person on the first clue! This tied "Do It for the Sam" and "Cornbread" for the lead. All that changed by the end of Round 5, however, when "Pussy Over Pancakes" DOUBLED their score going for the Double or Nothing. "POP" doubled their score AGAIN in our final round helping to skyrocket them to FIRST place and $40 towards their next OB's visit. Don't worry, "Do It for the Sam" came in SECOND AND $20 towards their next OB's visit!
And "Facts" won the Chili Cheese Fry Round! #yum

8 teams battled to see who would go home the King Trivia champs at OB's tonight. It was a great night with lots of registered teams coming back to play. "Student Debt Ceiling" AND "Those Beaches" DOUBLED their points in Round 2 when they Doubled or Nothing! By the end of Round 3 "Student Debt Ceiling" was in the lead even with an OB regular fave, "Mr. Poopybutthole" doubling their points. "Those Beaches" won the Chili Cheese Fry Round. "Pussy Over Pancakes" busted on Round 5. So did "Mr. Poopybutthole." Both teams Doubled or Nothing and came up short while "Student Debt Ceiling" maintained their lead. By Round 6 "Pussy Over Pancakes" doubled their points when they Doubled or Nothing knocking "Those Beaches" out of second place by only ONE point! Round 7 had many teams doubling or nothing. "Pussy Over Pancakes" and "No Putts Given" doubled their points while all the other teams except "Student Debt Ceiling" busted. "Student Debt Ceiling" got a perfect score but it was not enough to keep them in the lead. They were knocked down to SECOND place and received $20 towards their next OB's visit. "Pussy Over Pancakes" has an impressive upset and ended the night in FIRST place and $40 towards their next OB's visit.
