QUIZ RECAP

Tonight's trivia night at G34.3 Brewing Company was our biggest night yet! And since the bar will be closed next Thursday for Thanksgiving, this served as a holiday quiz night as well for everyone!

We had more teams and more players tonight than we ever have as word of our trivia nights seems to be spreading around the area. This was also our most competitive night yet, with lead changes happening after almost every round!

Here are some highlights from a great night:

Tonight, I got to meet the bars official mascot, Ronaldo! He's a great little unicorn friend who helps hold your beer for you. But be careful! He has been known to steal sips from your stein if you're not looking!

Everyone seemed to be really into the playlist we had going for the night, with small sing-a-long's breaking our for American Pie, Stacy's Mom, and Biz Markie's Just A Friend.

This week we had some VERY confident teams willing to use the double-or-nothing option, some to their great success, and some to very disappointing results.

Again, with next Thursday being Thanksgiving, we will not be meeting for trivia night. But we've got a great group of people looking forward to coming back in 2 weeks and taking the quiz with us once again!

QUIZ RECAP

This week of King Trivia at G34.3 Brewing Company took place on Veterans Day. Owned and frequented by veterans, the bar had a great display in remembrance of fallen brothers and sisters, as well as many veterans in attendance for the night.

We started the night with a great group. Every week so far we've had more people coming in to play with us!

Here are a few great highlights from our night of King Trivia fun:

My personal highlight of the night was the very small but beautiful little dog that spent the night in the bar with us. She was a service dog who came in with her veteran owner from team Fidget, and was the best little friend to hang out with everyone.

Somewhere around round 4, our single-person team, Myerhof, ordered Dominos pizza and shared it with anyone who wanted some.

In previous weeks, teams have been very hesitant to use the "double-or-nothing" option, but tonight we had multiple teams use it multiple times! And we even came within one wrong answer of round 6, the capital matching round, being a clean sweep! All teams matched 100% correctly, with only one team missing just 1 answer!

Finally, our 2-time champs Oddballs were finally dethroned, using their double-or-nothing in the last round but sadly getting a wrong answer.

All things said and done, one of our best nights yet!

QUIZ RECAP

Our second week ever at G34.3 Brewing Company started off with a pizza party and a book club joining our night!

When I arrived, a friend of the bar was having her birthday pizza celebration with her friends, and a small group of local librarians were having their weekly book club. Both groups decided to join in the fun, and the book club even decided to stop their discussion for the evening to fully focus on their chances at victory!

A few highlights from our Thursday night:

A small, impromptu karaoke-style sing-along broke out when Smashmouth's "All-Star" came on between rounds. Always a good time 😂

Although spelling doesn't count most of the time, everyone had a good time trying to figure out the spelling of "Snuffleupagus" and "Jagermeister".

We only had 1 use of the double-or-nothing, when the librarians (team name Comfortably Dumb) were sure they had all of round 5 correct, but sadly missed one answer!

MY personal favorite moment was the small lecture I received from the biology major who wanted to know how specific she needed to be about her answer for "protozoa".

In the end, it was a close night, but The Oddballs won for the 2nd week in a row, insuring that some teams will return JUST to see them dethroned!
