QUIZ RECAP

Before the game even started, Bears made a bold move in breaking away from his group in an attempt to prove his solo worth, leaving his friends with no choice but to retaliate - dubbing themselves Suck It Spangle - a command directed at their friend turned foe.

This drama must have been the fuel each team needed, as both shot out of the gate like bats out of hell, doubling their points in Round 1!

Small advances were made by all teams in Rounds 2 and 3. Round 4's "Guess Who?" was a struggle, with only a couple teams trusting their patience and waiting for the clue that would lead them to points.

In Round 6, Servus (a mathematician duo from Germany!) stepped up to secure their place as a top contender, while Get 'Er Dirty saw a decline in both points & performance - but NEVER lacking in spirit & good looks! 😉

Bears and Suck It Spangle remained in a tight race until SIS took a risk to Double up points in Round 6 - a maneuver that would pay off, giving them a choke hold on the title heading into the final round.

Congrats to all of our winners, thank you to the Barnacles staff, and bless the person who returned Quizmaster Lauren's phone when she lost it in the bar. You're all heroes in my book, see you next week!

QUIZ RECAP

We had a pretty conservative night as only 3 doubles were attempted throughout the game. My theory is that is because the failed double in round 1 scared everyone.

No Alibi, a one man team, was the 1st to correctly guess the answer in the Guess Who round & he continued sailing along, finishing in 3rd.

Speak Up & Dribble, another one man team, was the team with a failed double in round 1, but he made up for it & made the game interesting by jumping into 1st in round 6 with a successful double. Unfortunately, he was not as successful in round 7, finishing in 2nd.

When We Lose We Still Boose, who had a huge lead until round 6, took a big gamble doubling in round 7, but luckily all their answers were correct & they take the prize becoming the champions of the night!

Sunday was another great night of Trivia for Barnacles! With three strong teams, the competition was fierce across teams. Hot Stuff took the lead early on but was upset by Curling = Ice Shuffleboard on the Find the Connection Round with a double or nothing. The team rounded off the game with a strong first place for a courageous win!
