It's day 1 of 2019 and what better way to spend the first night of the new year by playing a little bit of King Trivia. Only two teams braved their New Years Eve hangover and came to play and reminisce about 2018 just one last time.
Both teams battled hard and managed to maintain a 1 point lead at the end of each round. It was anyone's game but at the end of it all the Purple Cobras came in and snatched the win with 39 points. Mockingbirds almost had them but came up short on 3 answers and finished with 36 points.
Not too bad for the start of the new year, eh?

The Lords of Winterfell pulled away in round two and never looked back after a double or nothing shot them ahead. The remaining three teams battled for 2nd place with Mockingbirds earning the silver. What did we learn on Tuesday night? Only Mockingbirds are big enough fans of Wham! to know that the exclamation point is part of the name. Michael learned that Guy Feiri hosted a game show and far more people watched it than he would have guessed. Pronouncing Santa Claus type characters in other languages is a clear weakness in Michael's quizmaster game.

What did we learn last night? Art Garfunkel's first name is Arthur. It is easier to say born without fingerprints than to pronounce Adermatoglyphia. Achy Breaky Heart is apparently unforgettable.
