What happens when a quizmaster is working hard all day and sits down for a minute? He falls asleep on the toilet and has to rush to trivia. I want to apologize to everybody for making you listen to my verbal stumbles; that's what happens when I get really tired.

For a Valentine's Eve, we still got 6 teams there, and Alternative Facts showed that they weren't screwing around with a double right out of the gate. No one came close enough to threaten their lead, and they went on to win with 62. 3 Women and a Baby came in second with 52 for their first time in the prize area. Taking third was Femme Fatale with 43.

Come out next week and bring me caffeine in the form of Mountain Dew.

I was almost dragged outside and beaten last night by everyone playing. For the record, it IS called "Jackass: The Movie", but I still took Jackass. That aside, one of our regular teams just found out that you get 2 points for registering EVERY TIME YOU PLAY! They were saving their registration bonus for a rainy day.

While there were some perfect scores, only one team dared to capitalize on it. The Regulators doubled up in the second round and never gave up the lead after that. The night ended up in a tie for second at 42 points between Mockingbirds and Better Late Than Never.

According to the University of Melbourne's 2015 Annual Report, what was it's total student enrollment in 2015?

Mockingbirds choose 8000 to get third, and Better Late Than Never took second with 23,502. The actual amount was 45,411. The Regulators rode away with first at 53 points.

Let's hope that Miranda and Chris can both play next week instead of having to work and maybe Mike won't be a sicko that stays home. Come out and join us next week where I'll let you all smell my collection of incurable diseases.

QUIZ RECAP

OK, I was running late. I'm sorry, y'all. My day job has me running hard, but I'm busting ass to get home to my trivia family. It's only a few more weeks of the grindstone.

Down to business! A failed double attempt held Alternative Facts from achieving greatness. They battled back, but were left behind as the only team to score in the thirties.

Acton 4 News Team had his partner bail and joined forces with Shut Up And Take My Money (great Futurama reference) to form the (kind of) super group Shut Up And Take My News Team, but still managed to come in 6th out of 7 remaining teams.

Third place saw Mockingbirds end up with 44. Second place went to The Regulars with 46. Living up to their name, Better Late Than Never stole the show in the final round with 48 to walk away with first.

Come back next week as I come screaming into the parking lot with the cops trying to stop me, and we'll be learning how to make plutonium out of common household ingredients. Please tell me you got that reference.
