QUIZ RECAP

Trivia Competition was at it's finest and most heated at Dunn Brothers coffee in Plano Texas. Through 7 rounds of competition, every team had a shot at first place. In the end, team Rockafeller claimed first place by one singular point over JFFC in the final round. All the teams that competed were at the top of their game and gave it their all in the game.

The trivia Titans of Plano Texas came out to flex their Trivia knowledge and their fists of rememberance clashed. Normal captain Lou fell I'll, but first mate Wesley took the reigns to hold down the position. In the end Team Finn braved the challenge and had an untouchable lead going into the final round. Lots of coffee was drank and fun was had by all.

The coffee shop was hoppin' and the quiz teams were boppin' 

last night as four teams came together for another exciting 

King Trivia Pub Quiz.  Although Dunn Brothers is a coffee shop,

on Thursdays they become a pub!  

Veteran duo The Bumble Bees brought some friends this time.  

Not that they need it as most times they manage to walk off 

with a prize due to their fifty pound brains.  So Quiz Master 

Lou is thinking with all that help they'll be sure to win 

tonight!  Nope.  They finished last.  I'm sure there's a saying 

for that, but I can't think of one right now.  

Deadly Alliance edged them out for a third place win while the 

Rockafellers grabbed second.  Top honors go to Pickles on a 

Plate who not only took first prize but did so with authority!  

Right out of the gate they Double-or-Nothing'd taking an early 

lead and again in Round Three nearly doubling their score against 

all others, cruising easily for the big win.  

Our quiz writers provided us with a very nice assortment of 

questions covering pop culture, history, sports and movies with 

a smattering of science questions thrown in for good measure. 

On that, QM Lou would like to point out that Anton Chekhov 

is the playwright while Pavel Chekhov is the helmsman for the 

USS Enterprise.  Further, the food acronym EVOO led to some 

questions about Popeye, but this tactful QM did not voice them.
