QUIZ RECAP

Not even close tonight.  The Wicked Wahines jumped out ahead early and never looked back.  They even won the drinking round (by guessing how tall the tallest cow ever recorded was (74.8 inches), they were 1/10 of an inch closer than the second place team!!).

Two new teams joined in tonight, Viagra Falls and I'm Not a Player I Just Quiz A Lot.  Welcome to the fray!  Hope to see everyone again next week.  Until then..."Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars!"  (a quote from Casey Kasem if you're wondering where you heard that before).

QUIZ RECAP

Another fun night!  Albatross started off slow, but came on strong in the last three rounds, finishing the night with a 2 pt. victory over 2nd place Long Beach/Seal Beach.

Go Cougars win the drinking round by, first, tying with Sandabs on guessing when the King James Bible was first published (1611).  Cougars said 1615, Sandabs said 1607, and each was off by 4 years, so it went to a tiebreak question, "How long is the Great Wall of China?"  Both were off by a mile (several thousand miles), but the Cougars were off by the least amount, making them the happy winners of a free round.

Great game, good fun, looking forward to doing it all again next Tuesday!

QUIZ RECAP

Another nail-biter tonight.  Last week, the Wicked Wahines beat Schrodinger's Cats and Dogs by one point, and tonight, it was another one point victory for them, this time beating Albatross in a game that came down to the wire.  Tied going into Round 7, Albatross scored 4 pts, Wahines scored 5, giving them the victory!

Drinking Round winners had to come the closest to guessing how many words there are in the English Language (as of Jan. 1, 2016, according to Global Language Monitor).  The answers ranged from 26,000 to 50-million, but Schrodinger's Cats and Dogs guessed 1,000,745, closest to the actual answer of 1,035,877.

It was a good game, as usual, and a fun night, also as usual.  Looking forward to seeing who the Wahines beat by one point next week!
