QUIZ RECAP

This week's quiz posed no problem to No Problemas, (photos 5 & 6) who took first place with a hearty score of 61, Muy Bueno, Problemas!

I've offered strong praise and admiration in the past to the brotherhood who call themselves Sister Act 2: The Golden Army, (photo 3) and here they are again shouting "Whoopi!" with a strong 2nd place finish.

And we met some new friends this week, including our 3rd place winners, Still Bed Bugs (photo 4). Curious about their team named, I inquired as to its provenance. The answer was simple, direct and irrefutable:
"Well, we were 'Bed Bugs' last week, and we decided to come back tonight. When it came time to choose a team name, we decided we're Still Bed Bugs!" And so it goes.

Before I sign off, I want to mention two other teams. Firstly, best team name of the night goes to Game of Thrones: Plot Holes, who usually play as Managed Expectations, but opted for GoT:PH after being asked to accept the idea that a raven can fly thousands of miles in less time than it takes to drive to Vegas - as happened in last week's (S6E6) episode of Game of Thrones. 

And lastly, I simply must pay homage to the lovely ladies of Brainstorm, who opted to use the name Timmy Tim Tim last night (which delighted this old quizmaster, certainly, but didn't help you with the scoring! There they are, in photos 1 & 2! A collection of truly sweet and beautiful people, they usually play as a distaff group, but were joined last night by two fortunate fellows who added great mirth to the evening.

Mirth, yes. But success? Not so much. Alas, after falling just two points shy of the winner's circle last week, they came up 4th again this week, missing the mark by JUST ONE POINT!! MAN, that's gotta hurt!
