QUIZ RECAP

I walked 7o miles uphill both ways in the 100 degree heat wearing snow clothes just so I could visit the fine folks at Timmy Nolan's. The Game was only made sweeter by my personal favorite team for the night the ever polite Sister Act 2: Judgement Day and also by the creative team naming from teams like The Gaza Strippers, O-Trivia Newton John and Quizzie Maguire, love it!

The night was a blur and I barely know what happened and I was totally sober, perhaps that was the problem. What I do know is this, Hard Pass, ever-stoic, and Salsa Haggis & Greens, Yum, were both quite adept at double or nothing but Hard Pass were the real winners taking first place, and letting Salsa Haggis & Greens, my 2nd favorite and loudest team,  tip toe into 2nd.  Dobby the House Elf, (I LOVE YOU DOBBY!!! Why did you have to die WWWHHHHYYYYYY!) gave a great effort and slid safely into 3rd.

Everyone else you may not have won trivia, but you did win a special place in my heart, for as long as it takes to finish this recap at least! Who knows if I will ever see you again, but thank you for welcoming me into your trivia madness for the evening! TRIVIA ROCKS!

QUIZ RECAP

You know it's gonna be a good night when the reading of team names elicits groans from the crowd! For example, second-place finisher To The Bat Coffin! (aka Carpe Trivium) generated a nice response, as did Adam West in Peace, who finished in third after a well-fought tie-breaker.

I must also make mention of the delightful team calling themselves Have You Heard? (aka Romp-Hims) who distinguished themselves by responding to every mention of their team name by standing in unison and declaring, "The bird is the WORD!" during each and every round of score results.

Delightful night for this humble quizmaster at Timmy Nolan's in Toluca Lake last night. I'd heard good things about this venue, and the reality of it exceeded all hopes and expectations. Funny thing, I once dated a girl named Tammy Nolan, and she eventually broke my innocent heart.

But the good quiz participants at Timmy's were a delight, and made for a fun and memorable night. Hope to see you all again soon. In the meantime, remember: the bird is the word!
