QUIZ RECAP

Welcome back to King Trivia at Spud Monkey. Did you know that this is the spot for trivia in the Portland area? Well now you do! Come on out and join us next week. I look forward to seeing you there.

So this Tuesday was a fun one. We had a few returning teams, Witless Wonders and Hit It & Quidditch. Of course we cannot forget about Team Monkey Spud. 

This night's game started out solid. Hit It and & Quidditch came out the gate with 5 points followed by Monkey Spud with 4 points.  By round 4 the the competition started to heat up. Monkey Spud and Witless Wonders were tied with 22 a piece and in 2nd place was Alec  & Jo, a new team who decided to join in the fanfare, with 19 points. Enter Name Here was not far behind with 18 points.

By round 6 there had been some clear separation established by Monkey Spud and Witless Wonders with 42 and 41 respectively. The next closest was Enter Name Here trailing with 30 points.

It came down to the last round. With a 20 point round, Hit It & Quidditch pushed their way to 3rd place with a final score of 42 points. Monkey Spud pulled a solid 9 points in round 7, ending the night with 51 points and 2nd place.  For the 2nd week in a row, Witless Wonders came home with the victory. Landing an impressive 20 point round, Witless Wonders took home the 1st place prize with 63 points!

QUIZ RECAP

We were back at it this TUESDAY evening at Spud Monkey's!

It was a great time with a few new faces and some regulars here for a night of King Trivia.

The first round start it off shall we say, slow. 3 of the four teams scored 2 points and one team add 1 point to the scoresheet. But the night was young! By round 4 the competiton had begun!

This week's line up included our returning team of ladies, also known as Dem Bitches, we had a new team SkankHunt 42, and a couple others, Witless Wonders and Hit it & Quidditch. With this crowd I knew the night would be hoot! It did not dissapoint.

By round 5 Dem Bitches had secured the 2nd place spot with 24 points, and Witiless Wonders had a four point lead with 29 on the board.

Speaking of boards, the Trail Blazers were able to put 100+ on the board which resulted in free Chicken Nuggets from a fast food chain. Can you tell me which one? (If come by next Tuesday, I will be sure to fill you in. 🙂

Now back to the game at Spud Monkey's. By round 6 Witless Wonders had expanded their lead with 39 points to Dem Bitches 32 points.

Still, the last round with Double or Nothing in play, made the 1st place position readily available for the taking.

In the end, Witless wonders stood their ground and took home the trophy with an impressive 48 points! Dem Bitches came in second with 40 and Hit It & Quidditch took 3rd with 16 points. Skankhunt42 had to bow out a bit early and left with 10 points to their name.

QUIZ RECAP

What’s a Spud Monkey?

Spud Monkey’s was actually named by a contest that was held by the owner. Spud for being from Idaho and Monkey was the owners nickname when she was a little girl.

King Trivia was in the (Spud Monkey) house on Tijuana Tuesday. We had a great time putting our Covid-safe trivia hats on.

Four teams came to play and it was a close one, at least at the start.

Round 1 three teams were tied at 4 points and by round 4 two teams were tied at 18 points and the leading team Spuds N Duds had 19.

At that point it was anyone's game. Speaking of being anyone's game, if you are reading this you should be there next Tuesday! We would love to have you come out and show of that brain power that you have been saving up over the last year. (Shameless plug) 🙂

By round 6 The Spud Monkey had moved up to the leading position at 34 points with Dem Bitches trailing in second with 30 points. 

In the end the Spud Monkey pulled away with the win at a solid 40 pints followed by Dem Bitches with 34 points and Tequila Mockingbird with 29 points. 

Honorable mention to Tequila Mockingbird for being registered team which gave them the extra 2 points to break the tie with Spuds N Duds who ended the night with 27 points.
