QUIZ RECAP

Welcome one and all. Tuesday night is night for King Trivia at Spud Monkey’s. It was a wild one. Maybe it was the weather but the evening was full of twists and turns and even breaks of sunshine and rainbows!

It was great to see new faces and host new teams. We had 3 new teams this week. Pacific Rim Job, Fitzmania! and FUD. Let’s unpack how the night went, but first a word from our sponsors…

The first round Witless Wonders started round 1 out with bang. They hit it out the park in the first inning with a perfect 6/6 and doubled it bringing their round 1 total to 12. FUD came in with a solid 4. Pacific Rim Job put 3 on the board, and Fitzmania started round one off with 1 point.

But it was still anybody’s game. 

Round two

Witless Wonders added another 6 points to jump up to 18 points, FUD maintained their position in 2nd with 6 points. Pacific Rim Job had a total of 2 and Fitzmania! kept their score at 1 point.

I should mention that by round 3 it was clear that FUD and Witless Wonders had a bit of friendly rivalry going on. FUD was later disclosed and a homage to Dan, on of the members of Witless Wonders. The love was definitely in the air! (sarcasm)

By round 4 Witless Wonders had extended their lead to 38, (another perfect round in for round 3) but FUD remained on their heels, and in their ears. The trash talking only added to the drama. Pacific Rim Job unfortunately experienced technical difficulties and was unable to continue after round 4 but Fitzmania! put another -1 point on the board for a total of 1 after 4 rounds.

Round 6 Witless Wonders and FUD were neck and neck, or rather at each others necks. You had to be there.

Fitzmania! ended round 6 with 12 points. FUD concluded round 6 with 27 points and Witless Wonders continued in their leadership by leaving round 6 with 54 points.

Now for the 7 and final round. It was a great game of camaraderie, liquid courage, spuds and anthems. Everyone who participated left a champion!

Now the final scores were as follows. After 7 rounds of play, Pacific Rim Job ended the night with 7 points. Fitzmania! walked away with 3rd place with 18 points. In second place and voted The Most Lit Team Ever, by yours truly— FUD, with 31 points. And your 8 times in a row champion, Witless Wonders with 62 points!

A shout out to all of the players and the teams that made the night a wild and special one. If you weren’t there, you missed out. But don’t worry, we’ll be back next week Tuesday at 7PM.

QUIZ RECAP

King Trivia was back in the house at Spud Monkey's on Tuesday night.

It was hot one, but fortunately there were cool drinks on tap.

We had 2 of our faithful and loyal teams duke it out for the crown, Witless Wonders and of course Hit It & Quidditch.

First round started off close. Hit It & Quidditch put 4 points on the scoreboard and Witless Wonders started off with 6 points.

2nd round, our picture round moved us south of the border. Hit It & Quidditch added another 4 points and conversely Witless Wonders added another 6 points. 

By round 4, Witless wonders increased their lead by adding another 8 points with the answer ABBA. Hit It & Quidditch added another 2 points.

Meanwhile on the big screens the Blazers were battliing it out with the Nuggets. The Lakers were also in uniform but it wasn't their night...

Round 6 was a solid round for Hit It & Quidditch adding an additional 10 points to their score in the matching round. Impressively they beat out Witless Wonders in that round, who added another 8 points to their score.

It came down to the final round, round 7. Witless Wonders added another 5 points to their total.

The final score for Hit It & Qidditch was 32 points. And your reigning champion is Witless Wonders with 45 points.

It was a close one for the Blazers, going into double OT. Definitely kept the entire building on it's toes. Hope to see you, you and you there next week. -DW

And we're back!

King Trivia was back in the house on Tijuana Tuesday's at Spud Monkey's. Despite the technical challenges we had good time.

First round started of a little slow and steady with the old school pen and paper process. Dirty Mike and The Gang jumped on the board with 2 points along with Hit It Quidditch. Monkey Spuds acquired 3 points and Witless Wonders started off with first round with 4 points.

It was competitve night, both in the game enviorment and on the screen. The Lakers fans made a solid showing and were not disappointed.

By round 3 we had strongly competitive game. 3 times got a perfect score and doubled it up. Dirty Mike & The Gang, Witless Wonders, and Monkey Spuds gained 12 points this round. Hit It & Quidditch jumped up 4 points. At the end of round 3 Monkey Spuds and Witless Wonders were tied for 1st place!

Round 5 was the turning of the corner. Hit it & Quidditch added 2 more points for a total of 13. Dirty Mike & The Gang added 4 points for a total 26. Monkey Spuds added 10 points for a total of 38 and Witless Wonders added 10 for a total 40 points.

This night's game came down to the last and final round, Round 7. This was a tough round for the teams but they push forward put their best effort. Hit It & Quidditch end the evening with 18 points and an honorable mention for being a consistently loyal team. Dirty Mike & The Gang, our new comer, ended the night with 26 points and gift card.

It came down to the Monkey Spuds and Witless Wonders. Drum roll please...

With 52 points, Monkey Spuds ended the night in second place. And your winner is for the 6th straight week, with 60 points-- Witless Wonders.
