We may have just recently had our first frost of the winter here in Philly, but our brilliant and determined trivia teams weren't letting the cold bother them (anyway)! This game had a ton of twists and turns, with teams regularly taking the lead one round only to slip to seventh place or lower the next. Zack and the Zackettes finished in first place after triumphing in the tiebreaker round against Chestnuts, with Buy My Peleton taking third.
As a Quizmaster, I'm not supposed to pick favorite teams, but I couldn't help but have a soft spot for team Jersey Tomatoes, who decided to go bold and double-or-nothing every single round! It only worked out once for them, so they ended up in last place, but as a Jersey girl myself, I love the confidence.
Shout out to all the teams for playing and as always, shout out to Tapster for being the loveliest of venues!

Tonight was a night of close, close, close scores, with four teams tied for first place for a while! In the end, we had a tiebreaker round to determine whether Cowabunga Dude or Drexel Men's Rowing went home with the eternal glory of a first place finish, with Claire Bears just one point behind in third place. Cowabunga Dude ultimately took the gold medal (that is to say, $30 off their tab), but the other teams sure did not make it easy for them! As always, I have to give a shout out to Tapster, the coolest and most beautiful and now the most festive bar around--if you're ever in the neighborhood on a Tuesday, come through!
