About The Slip Bar & Eatery

At The Slip, we don't think food at a bar has to taste like bar food. In addition to delicious wings, pizza, burgers, and fries, we offer a Blue Zones certified menu with plenty of healthy and vegetarian choices.

Watch the sun set over Redondo’s King Harbor and choose from over 60 hand-selected beers, plus wine and cocktails. The Slip is family-friendly and we have eight TVs so you can watch your favorite teams. We host an Open Mic every Wednesday and live music on the weekends.

We’re located on the International Boardwalk of the Redondo Beach Pier right below the bike path, making us a perfect stop during a bike ride. Parking is also available in the lot at the apex of Harbor Drive and Pacific.

The crowds! The competition! The questions! Oh my!

Last night was a spectacular game of King Trivia with lots of shake-ups and traded places!

Here for the Right Reasons came out the gate with two successful doubles that secured them a spot in the top three. However, when it came down to the end, Team Gryffin doubled the 5th and 6th Rounds for 40 points total gained, which pushed them to a tiebreaker for first!

Team Gryffin guessed closer to the number in the tiebreaker and snagged first, which gave Here for the Right Reasons second. In third, Jesse & the Pants Rippers gave a solid showing of 60 points, leading 4th place by 5.

See you all next week, thanks for playing!

It was a packed house and a tight competition last night as nearly every team maintained close scores throughout every round! I was shocked we didn't have a tiebreaker on our hands!

Every team but two successfully doubled Round 2 and got the correct "Guess Who" in Round 4, which meant every point counted when we neared the end. Tropical Heat had consistent high scores, which alongside two successful high-scoring doubles led to them snagging the first place finish. Rio Deal was the only team to double Round 5's Lion King cast successfully, so they took a big jump in the standings and landed second. Third place was close, but in the end, Make Trivia Great Again squeaked by with a single point to take them into the winner's circle.

Thanks for your patience with my pronunciation everyone! See you next week!!

Great questions and fantastic competition this week in King Trivia! It was awesome to see so many registered teams, too!

Round 3's Hawaiian theme was tough and immediately set apart Rio Deal and Markel as leaders after their successful doubles. Round 4 was the first time I've ever had NO TEAMS turn in answers for the 10 or 8 point clues! The only 6-point turn in was incorrect, too! So it was a 4-point max in Round 4, which kept overall scores pretty low last night.

In the end, we had 4 teams within 8 points of placing, so it was a tight race. Markel, some of my favorite regulars, finally snagged a "W" and got the third place spot! Better Late Than Never successfully doubled Round 6 for 20 points that landed them in second place. In first place we had Rio Deal with a 15-point lead.

Thanks for the great night - see you all next week!
