QUIZ RECAP

Tuesday trivia was one of the most poppin' nights I've seen thus far at The Slip! The Lakers and World Series were both on the TVs but I think the game we played was far more exciting.

The questions were GREAT this week and Round 5's "Silicon Valley" connection had almost everyone stumped! We had many groans from the peanut gallery when it was revealed to be Android OS names - everyone must have iPhones! Viva la Apple!

Many teams started out strong with successful doubles in rounds 1 and 2, but Round 3 was HARD and only one team managed to get all 6 sauces.

Speaking of sauces, BEHOLD! All of the various spellings of "Worcestershire" I received:

• Worshchester
• Worchestershire
• Worsteshire
• Worcestershire
• Whorchester
• Worchestershershire
• Worcestshire

Only one team managed to spell it correctly, for the record - and that was BLT - shout out to you!

Apparently the teams needed to brush up on their Wimbledon & Prime Minister knowledge because Round 7 was a doozy! The tennis player names eluded nearly everyone, so the scores stayed neck and neck and we ended up having a tiebreaker for third place.

Mr. Poopybutthole and Bart Fell Down a Well both ended the evening with 57 points and they had to duel for third place. We set up an arena and gave both of them swords and shields to fight for their team's honor. In the end, Bart Fell Down a Well prevailed and snagged third.

Second place went to We Like to Come From Behind and, with only a two-point lead, Peter's Dinklage won the first place prize!

Thanks all for another fun evening of triv at The Slip!

It was nice to see the smiling faces of Markel again, and although the questions were tough (Round 7 was a doozy!), every team seemed to have one "expert" round where they doubled successfully or came close.

First place went to Saving Ryan's Privates, who stayed in second throughout the game but came through with a successful double in Round 6 that launched them into a solid lead. Second place went to Mr. Poopybutthole who consistently performed well in every round but only doubled in the first rounds - allowing Saving Ryan's Privates to swoop in for the W! Third place went to Mehoy Me Noy, whose team member Dan confessed he did not know the painting "Bold and Brash." Dan has been assigned the weekly homework of watching the Spongebob episode "Artist Unknown" before he dares use a Spongebob team name again.

QUIZ RECAP

Tuesday's scores were neck and neck the whole evening thanks to some amazing teams and great questions!

Highlights included:

• Shrimp Shrimp Shrimpy Shrimp
• Tangerine classification issues (clementine? satsuma? orange?)
• OMG it's Seth Rogen
• Numerous interesting spellings of the word "ratatouille"
• Western bordering countries - you all killed this round, I was so impressed!
• A SICK 90's rock music playlist that I'm definitely using again (thanks Spotify!)

First place went to Rio Deal, who consistently performed and doubled down in Round 6 with their knowledge of geography! Second place went to Shrimp Me Harder, Batman who managed to miraculously recover after an unsuccessful double in Round 5. In third place, Manchester City came out of nowhere to double in Round 6 and snag a top spot - we hope to see your competitive spirits next week with a registered team number too!
